I'm glad you appreciate my antics. My teachers and parents certainly didn't encourage it when I was younger. I don't blame them a bit. I think I would annoy me
One time when I was having to swap out my washer and dryer... Someone had stopped to pick up scape appliances before I even had them out... They were going for my new ones! LOL We had taken new ones out of truck and then bringing old ones out to go into truck.... (They had just stopped as we had stepped out of door... and so we gave him our old ones.... Yes, we were going to take to scrap yard... Because money was tight. Kindness is priceless... ) I love it when I see they stack to the side for scrapers on curb...
It is amazing what people put out for the garbage instead of donating it. I appreciate the positive in your videos. Take care and keep doing the good you do.
The wooden cupboard could have been donated to a charity shop or advertised on fb market place. There are a lot of people who could have made use of it.
To me, an eviction would be all the more reason to pick from the pile because, if it were my stuff left on the curb in those circumstances, I would much rather have others make use of it than have it end up in a landfill and lost forever.
@@ScrapPalletMan yes it is, I've lost everything I own at least 3 times including 40 yrs of family photo albums, my granny's wedding ring and the handmade quilt she made me when I was ten. Also, you missed that "Lad a dog" book that was the book that "Lassie" the tv show came from. It was the next book down. P.s. you and I weigh exactly the same. I just wear mine differently, lol. Btw, I'm glad you got you a shop fridge, kinda balances out that $1 discrepancy huh?
It is Sad to be Evicted that is the worse feeling to see all your stuff out in the street.Love watching You , you’re so funny when you talk the things you find when you snap your fingers and everything is in order watch you all time from New Jersey . God bless you 🙏
Great haul. Glad you found the fridge and books. Love the picture it will go good there in your foyer. It is heartbreaking to see someone’s personal belongs thrown out on the street. I see it a lot here in Lexington. Thanks for sharing enjoyed. Hugs and prayers my friend. 🙏🙏🥰
These videos always make me smile even more this past few weeks my mom is having surgery Thursday for cancer and you have kept my mind in other places so thank you Paul much love from Pittsburgh
Paul, Thank you so much for pointing out the things that I don't normally think of, you bring up subjects that I need to be reminded of. I can never think of those things, So think you. I really appreciate you Paul! ❤️
Greatful for you and your prayer before prices !!! You are human and have always been forward with who you are!!! Being able to admit you are wrong with teens and apologize when wrong will have the greatest impact on them. Still praying for you daily! Thanks for taking us along today!!!! You are appreciated!
Seeing that beautiful cabinet I was wishing your good friend Rick was there. He would have been ecstatic with that. I'm glad you checked that mini fridge. I have to wonder how many of those electrical items work that get set out on the curb. I know you can't check/save everything, I'm just thinking of folks that could really use one item or another. I agree with you, I hate to see books in thrown out, books hold a special place in my heart. Always good to tag along to see what adventures await. Stay safe and GOD bless
True story, the only time I visited Niagara falls I brought a camera in 1990. I thought I had film in the camera but I had not loaded it. I took so many pictures with a camera with no film. Yes that's my Niagara moment 😃
Omg !!! Now that's some funny stuff right there .... But I'm guessing it wasn't that funny when you realized it that day tho ....lol.... Stay humble you're obviously good people !!!
So now Paul has a curbside libraries to visit 🤣 AND there's no late fee if you hang on to the books too long 😆 I took typing in high school as a senior. It was awesome - a great skill to have and I was the only boy in a class full of girls.
Paul, 💗 so so happy you cleaned up a lot of the scrap from your backyard. Watching that accumulate was heartbreaking. My mom taught me: "Tighteness is next to Godliness.". Holding you in the highest esteem. 🥰
Hey Paul I'm glad to see you using that liftgate makes me happy every time I see that liftgate and you talk about exercise oh man we used to cut wood split wood stack wood wood was nothing but exercise we heated with wood that's what we needed the house with all that was another good show thank you so much if I was somewhere nearby I'd like to have that zero-turn mower you had on there but God bless you and you can continue the good work sir amen
Nice to see another video, nice score on the little fridge. Sad when all your stuff is just tossed on the curb. I have found a few things curb shopping for my granddaughter. We also have a free sight . Have a great night 🙂 your 🇨🇦 watcher 🙏🏻
Thursday evening, home alone while the misses works a 12 hr night shift as a nurse... what better to do than relax with Paul's calm voice and watch a few scrap shows!!!
Christine, I agree. There is something about holding a book that feels right, instead of an electronic device. Just canceled my notebook subscription. Hardly used it.
I lost my house and was served papers by a guy at 6am wearing a gun. 6 years ago. My fault totally. I’ve truly never recovered. Other than my two wonderful kids and two wonderful grandkids, I was very proud of it. Not a lot to be proud of after turning to drugs because of a divorce I didn’t want. I bought it on my own after the divorce. Just this year I let go of the hate for him and it feels wonderful.
@@ScrapPalletMan Thank you for listening. I am around him a lot anymore because he had to move in with my son for a while. I always leave him with a hug. It feels familiar and good. No hate. Can’t believe I finally got there.
Janet, Im asking for prayers for my friend Chris and Sarah. They just lost their home due to medical bills. He has stage 3 cancer, and the treatment is bankrupting them. Thanks for your prayers.
@@jodiyoung5578 I am sorry your friends went through losing their home.. No one should lose their home due to medical debt. Sadly in this country many bankruptcy situations are due to medical debt. I will be praying for them.
Nice scrap haul as always Paul. You was about your son going to be 18 I know the feeling my baby will be 18 in December where did the time go. When you were talking at the end I’m with you 💯percent I’m always telling my kids I’m sorry if I’m wrong about something and now they say it. I know what’s it like to have no money and now having it but we are careful about spending. Oh that cute picture you showed it will look good in your hallway. Thank you for sharing you and your family have a wonderful evening 😊
Paul so glad you are doing so good 😊. I never Miss you. Thank God there are people like you so polite and considerate of others . Sending you Prayers 🙏🙏🙏. Hope your hand and arm get better . Love From Illinois ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Alex, please pray for my friends Chris and Sarah. They just lost their house. They are buried in medical debt from his cancer treatments and her health issues. Thanks
Hi Paul I have 3 kids age 57,55 and 53 you and my youngest daughter are the same age,my son who is 53 watches you also.he's a builder and he wishes he could scrap for wood.he is very talented.I am grateful that you always thank God every day for what you have whether you have a big scrap day or a small scrap day.when I was growing up people always called what you do junking or trash picking.I remember when I was little my grandma and me would look for broken glass you got paid more for colored glass.back then everything was recycled, glad to see you are doing your part to help keep stuff out of the landfills.God bless you and give Olivia a head scratch for me I appreciate you
We have a lot of sayings here at the Eco guys. One of my favorites is when you're out scrapping, every ounce counts. Great video is always Paul take good care of yourself and God bless
I get so happy when I see you being able to pick up that heavy stuff (ie washers and Fridges) alone, even a big ole Side by side... all because of that smart decision of getting that BLESSED LIFT, oh yeah... makes my heart smile!
Paul, from one veteran to another, I salute you brother. Your videos are both interesting, and relaxing at the same time. I think your personality gives it that special touch that makes it so watchable. My wife and I are suffering through covid right now, and we are binge watching your episodes, and its a great comfort to us. Thanks for what you do bro.
I so enjoyed this video, you made me laugh a few times. A few examples, were with the truck and the silly voice you do, and when you closed that book real fast due to the content. 🤣...Thank you for the laughs, much needed after the news we received this afternoon of the passing of a dear friend of ours from Cancer. He loved music and had his own band. Played guitar, and sang not sure if he played the base or not. He will surely be missed by all who knew him. Thank you again Paul. God Bless 😇❤
I can't believe Jesse is almost 18 years old. He's a young man already. Your dinosaur friend is being enclosed by shrubbery. He's hard to find, isn't he. 🤣 That picture you want to hang in your house looks perfect with the wallpaper. I needed to hear what you said about being content in all things.
Wow Paul great video today. Very nice finds today. Those where boat trailer rollers on that one stop. Can't wait to see more videos soon my friend. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Keep scraping. Keep recycling. Keep picking. Keep making. God bless.
I came across an eviction pile last week, found out it was a family of 4 mum dad and 2 kids. I loaded as much as I could into my van took it home then started hunting for the family on social media. After a few days I found them and told them I have alot of the belongings and to contact me when they have a new place. This morning I had a message giving me their new address and I took their belongs to them 😀😀 needless to say they were extremely happy. Especially their 9-year-old Autistic son who got his long-loved Winnie The Poo back 🥰🥰 I had to drive 5 hours, but it was all for a good cause so did not mind at all 😊😊
So nice to hear your calming voice this morning of pain and uncooperation of my legs. You should read book of scripture online. You have such a calming voice.
Always enjoy your videos Paul, I know the content will be wholesome, even my grandchildren can watch with me! God Bless You and Your Family, stay safe!👌
I used to be big fan, Scrap and Pallet Man...but over the years, after so many interesting trips through the neighborhoods with you, I've become an air conditioner! 👍
So many things that you find I would literally buy like the hutch. I'm pretty much your neighbor and would pickup items also . Also would you ever consider a ride along love to meet you and enjoy the day scraping.
I'd like to share a "WOW GOD " moment that I just had. I have a gal that I do her shopping and take her to the doctor, when she needs. Jacky ,bought an electric scooter. So she had a doctors appointment today. She wanted to take her scooter to the doctor. She made it there ,but it quit working half way back . So she called me. As I was walking out my door, I raised my hands to the Lord and ask for his help. In Jesus Name. Turns out she was only on the next block over from where I lived. A gal came out of her house and said I could push the scooter up in her yard. I took Jacky home and went back to the scooter. I pushed it to my house and went back to get my car. Back at home , I was looking for a phone number, called the company, they walked me through a few things to try. In no time, it was running. Praise the Lord !!! When you finally realize how much you rely on the Lord , it is then ,you know that you love the Lord!!!!! Wow God!!!!
At least you turned your life around Paul I know people who have gone through multiple evictions due to drug abuse or alcohol abuse and I am sad to say they will never change i keep praying for them.
Paul....that place u picked up the 4 white metal bars with the black wheels on it....you missed something else that was further down on lawn....that tall yellow thing with spits on it....looked heavy! !!!
When my siblings and I were young-our grandfather had one of those mowers-he said that the first one of us that could mow his grass would get 5.00.we all tried with no luck-because he hadn’t sharpened the blades! Lol he tricked us all! He was hilarious!
I live in a neighborhood with young families. You would be amazed at what sometimes ends up at the curb as "trash". These young people do not donate anything, baby strollers, furniture, chairs, household items, rugs, plants etc, for others to use. Shameful but true unfortunately.
@@marydetlefsen768 You could still see if someone in your church needs baby and children's things instead of just throwing perfectly good useable items away. People are so self-centered and lazy nowadays. Surely someone in a church or mom's group could use the items or know someone else who needs them. All I'm saying is with a little thought towards helping others we all help one another in the long run.
@@cynthiarafferty7662 and your idea to do that is to call them names great move. Also your making massive assumptions that the items are in a reusable condition and there's not something wrong with it
@@stuartstone6359 I'm not trashing anyone in my neighborhood Stuart. I'm just telling you the reality of life. Most people do NOT donate to help other people out. Look at what Paul finds on the curb all the time. Most items, not all, but most items are still usable. Furniture can be painted for a new updated look and new hardware put on. That's all I was writing about.
I have had 9 broken verterbrae and 2 strokes over the last few years and I still try to serve Our God and Savior and spread His love and word every day,Paul. I also have had plenty & nothing. Praise God for ALL of it!👍👏🙏🥰
Sorry I'm behind in my videos. Health issues again. Loved the video and seeing beautiful Olivia again. God bless and watch over you and your love ones. 🙂👍🙂💕
scrap & pallet man, with the high cost of gas and electricity over here in England UK. I have trained myself to take cold showers after work, and it really grounds you and when I am done I feel super fantastic too.
okay..im convinced...you are my brother from another mother. You're supposed to be scrapping...you're book hunting. 😄😄😄💯% me....love it!!!! Nothing like a good old book!!!!
I've got enough scrap to fill a 21 ft car hauler.Scrap price is down here. But I have to get it done before September 9th.That is when I go for my Quadruple bypass surgery.I know that God will take care of it but I would appreciate all the prayers I can get.You make my day when you post a new video.God bless you paul
Hey Paul I meant to thank you for showing us all the few minutes before sunrise shots. I also love the sunrise, it reminds me of a new fresh beging no matter what happened yesterday. U r so up beat n funny, I look forward to ur videos. Btw r u going to make n e more videos playing ur guitar? Iiss ur music n u singing, it sounded angelic, ttul b safe...
Hi Paul... just tuned in, busy day... hey can i suggest that maybe you could come up with a way to mount your dumpster stick/hook on the outside of your truck for easy access also have you considered a very strong magnet on a short rope for magnetic metals in the dumpsters? just a thought. be blessed brother be safe. the way things are going we could be going home sooner than we know, the hour is at hand.
The wheeled white things that you picked up in front of the home with a boat were boat trailer rollers. You like the cork lamp because you were born in the late 60s and so grew up with an early 70s esthetic. Lol
So I can keep on guessing, what is the weight of your truck with NO Scrap in it, but with YOU in it?? A pretty good day of scrapping. God is good! Have a great evening....Bev in Maine
Paul from my 30+ years of being CFC and HVAC also appliance repairs. 90% of the time the hemostat fails and the compressor never shuts down turning that refrigerator into a deep freezer for a while until the compressor fails because the temp inside is to low for the refrigerant to convert back to a gas and remains a liquid and goes to the compressor locking it up. The thermal overload will kick in and of you catch it it is repairable. If you don't the over load will reset and keep going until the windings of the compressor finally burn up and poof. So be careful to really test it, put a thermometer in it and if it is below 32 see if the thermostat will turn the compressor off. at 32 you should hear the hemostat click when you turn it back and forth. If the compressor does not turn off and you don't hear that click and it is 32 or less. The thermostat is bad. I replaced mine with a $20.00 electronic thermostat from amazon. The nice thing about those if they fail it won't kill the compressor. The other failures are low refrigerant or lighting damage.
Those things with the four wheels on them are called a 'Do-Hicky. The holes on them are used for you to screw in your 'thingamajiggy' in them in order for you to place your 'wackado' in them in order to move it around. Hope this helps. 😀
Hi Paul. I enjoy watching your videos. For "ladies" you say obrigada. By the way, nice pronunciation on your Portuguese. Have a nice one! Your friend from Brazil
That was a beautiful china cabinet. Too nice to be sent to the dump. Those go for good money down here. I would love to have that in my dining room. That nice picture will look good in your house. I love my push mower and bought my friend one last month. They are great for small yards and folks that don't have outbuildings. My Autistic son and hers are scared of power motors but will grab those old time reel mowers and cut the grass any day.
Thank you for expressing your love for Jesus you're thankfulness. Thank you for sharing your experiences and for how important it is to stay positive positive means that you are trusting in God that you're thanking him for everything that you believe his will be done on Earth as it is in heaven in your life. Thank you Paul you won't believe how encouraging you are and the little tidbits of your life lessons really help others to see you walk the walk and not just talk the walk. God bless you as he always does because you put your trust in him.
