Most FC-defenders argue that "it’s just a dlc" when it comes to the lack of quality. But the moment they implemented server transfers, they created a direct connection between EL and siptah and effectively made it a part of the main game. You are absolutely right on this one. 👍
Exactly. Do you remember what we did after that? Our groups would create farming fortresses on a dead SIP server where we would collect eldarium, and then just go back to EL to fight. As a solo I found a friendly clan that let me live in their base while farming (they knew me as solid from EL). I would have a series of pony accounts that would move gear with the highest carry weight possible back and forth carrying around things easier to get in the other map. I thought it was pretty cool... except that the stunlock on feroxic daggers was a really shitty meta. I had account I would store in the server queue ready to be 'deployed' essentially using the transfer queue as a body vault. Lots of things they just never thought through.
Finally someone talks about what I have been saying for years now, that the Exiles Lands never got finished. Siptah didnt either. They dont have any issue with balance, they wana force you into the shop. Period. This happens in many other games and it is the free to play cancer forever plage
A huge reason this video stayed in the back of my head. I wanted to say what so many thought and think. Exiled lands was always hinted at when it came to expansion, not a new dlc. Then siptah releases and got a little love but since then, not much.
Just some random thought after the video It might not be possible for Siptah to be free (As some of the players who already own siptah might felt unbalnaced unless they are being refunded or compensate for their cost) But an idea of mine is friend invitations. Like a player owns siptah are able to invite friends to play on the siptah server they are on during their playtime. The friend's character data and progress are saved but not accessable unless the player who owned siptah are playing in the server or the friend buys the Siptah DLC.
We were just talking about how Siptah should be free the other day. This game has so much potential and Funcom continues to just destroy this game. It’s truly mind boggling how dumb they are.
The only thing more mind boggling is how many chances some people keep giving Funcom. I’ve only played the game a year or so and I’ve already seen _major_ botches several times. It’s sad, cause the game is great, and they keep ruining specific parts of it.

Lots of things they just never thought through. The Farming base was down south to farm Eldarium from the mini bosses. I could loop and just hit them one after another. I did the Siptah and made it to LV40 or so then did a dungeon... which was apparently the hardest one... but I took it out with an iron short sword and really non meta armour, etc... I didn't go back until I HAD to to due to the arms race. The thing I would enjoy moving the most however was stacks of 1000 gold coins which when I calculated it had the highest gold dust to carry weight potential and is in MASSIVE quantities down at that little lake on volcano island.
They have to know people are using multiple accounts for these strats but why would they care? More money for them in the long run. People think they can just buy an account for 5 dollars, sure but those were bought in bulk by the resellers, so Funcom still profits.
@@Mahazioth BTW, I was a console player. On Console the Gamertag is the 'account' as far as Funcom is concerned, but gamertags are free. So, unlimited accounts from the base game cost. Bodyvaults were entirely free outside the effort to set them up. Once day I did about a dozen in 30 minutes. Really the only efffort that goes in to them is running them to the base to load up.
Thanks for touching again on the wall stacking. I would base myself out of the eastern barracks basement as a solo and be "notquite" unraidable, but I did have a hope in hell of getting stuff out except in one single raid where the team used two gods up front AND I was offline. I knew (except for the god raid) exactly how well they were melting off my layers as I use DDLC as depth gauges between all the black Ice. I could quickly tear down my door frames and pack them back out with fence foundations. At peak the very best design I came up with had 120 doors. It would take me good part of a minute just to get in to my base. I would gate through the grove just to get out and always kept a map room as close to Sep as I could get it to get around. I actually upgraded the xbox to an SSD just to speed up the loading time for this. What funcom got really wrong there was the bomb and building economics. Look at games like Rust and you don't see sprawling bases with 20,000 build parts built in a week. I knew it took 11 minutes to respec to enc suit up, clean the ice cave and return with 12k or whatever it was black ice. I knew it took 23 minutes for me to do my brim loop in the lake and how long it would take to clear the first loop of the grove. With a respawn timer of 20 minutes I could form up grinding loops that were incredibly productive with very little time wasted on travel due to the map rooms (mine or others). the only travel time was in the swamp to get back in... and all those doors. Often I would return with all 200 slots filled. I had a small base near the silver case to hit caves for stone ever 20 mins for jars. Time economics. They made it SO easy to make MASSIVE amounts of things that it was hard to not make 200+ bombs per evening while also doing other things. I was only limited by the tar production line as I had limited space being a solo... still, on a server you stack the crap out of the slots and it cooks until tomorrow. All those bombs meant the only way to defend is with layers, which they made time efficient to collect. One pass of godsclaw and you'll have craptons of steel with just an L3. Farming was just too easy and too reliable. Not only did they increase resource rates to double (and often doubled the double) but also has stupidly short respawns on everything except starmetal. Obsidian was one of the few things I had respect for. You had to leave that 1000 stack of steel in there for HOURS and hope like hell you'd find the composite at the end. I would drop it off at 1+am and Log in at 6 to pick it back up. They need to rebalance the whole game for PVP, but they won't because it'll piss off the SP\PVE'ers. Quarter the resource gather rate and make bombs harder to make . THEN take away the layers of walls.
Hence why people would make absurdly sized bases, why not? We have the resources, makes sense to spam around to help with gods and fobs. Raiding now is extremely easy. Dragon powder is an end game item but it's one of the easiest things to obtain in abundance. But your statement on a rebalance, totally agree.
5:22 Siptah is dying, bec of story and many major events take place on EL. And Siptah has only minor piece of updates. And it's unfair 6:20 This "empty" spaces not so empty. Go to any dungeon, open map then u'll see that it's actually location of dungeons. 13:46 Late BLB bundle Celestial Scholar is more expensive than Siptah, while this bundle has a tiny content in comparison to Siptah. And u talking about making Siptah free. Don't get me wrong. I like this idea. But FC is greedy and I doubt that they agree to make it free

I think Siptah map should be made free, and the three armor sets and two build sets it came out with should then become its own bundle at a reduced price ($10 maybe to match the other OG DLCs)
Agree with what you are saying generally about dumcom...but I think what they are missing is what Ark done with its server transfers and maps....clusters of 10-12 maps to play, how have dumcom missed this opportunity to generate revenue and give the player base much needed content??? Should Siptah be free??? I think they need to have revenue streams but you make some good points of why it should be free now.....
I agree. If not free, it should be reduced in price. They should also allow free movement back and forth between Siptah and EL, similar to Ark clusters.

I don't have played so much on S bc for me, campfires and flames are so orange, you can think to be in a highway with the workers and their jackets. 😂 Saying that, yeah, S should be free, and also the contents should be available through the devkit. They will do it? Ofc no, I have been fun for some years before they get owned by Tencent and start to destroy everything in the most worst possible way. I dunno how much time I don't actually play CE, couple of years I think at that point. Do I miss it? Sometimes. Still, probably I'm over sensitive, but when a software house shows to you to have zero care and respect for both the game and the players, you can play, but is still a bitter taste in your mouth. Kind of like when you are single, meet a new woman and you're full of expectations, and then after some time, you just realize she's not the right one, same for CE and S. BP or not, they will still milk some players, bc if it is true the prices for few, frequently also malformed meshes, are insane, there's still some ppl who buy that crap. Siptah shows us the laziness and the potential wasted. I use my (gifted) Siptah DLC to test things instead of playing it. The bloat it added that no one really cares about is just wasteful.
Conan Exiles has basically been in early access for half a decade. Why not leave Siptah in paid beta forverer too? Seriously, the map should be inckuded with the base game. The DLC can be the storm glass and Flotsam buikd sets and the Slave Forged armour set. But that is work in a property being abandoned for Dune. Such a shame, there is an excellent game struggling to exist against the inadequacies of it's dev team.
Conan exiles was fun while it lasted. Funcom, including most of their community managers have moved on to dune awakening. Which is fine, nothing last forever.
According to the latest video they released the hired more people just for Conan and the dev team for Dune is a separate entity. Do I buy that? I don't know.

I'll be honest , I think it's time to just move on to a better game . The community is non existent and the devs dont really care about official and havent cared for years . The game had potential , but it's way to late to care about the non existent future of a non cared for game. Also I would like to know how exactly exile lands was more replayable than siptah .
I used to play Official PVP Siptah cos cheater were less comon there than on Exiled lands, but this is not the case anymore. All siptah servers have cheaters now. Siptah will not be free, because cheaters have to buy DLC to each new cheat account they make to come and cheat on Siptah and that brings money to Funcome. So i will just stop reporting cheaters, they will not need to buy new accounts and DLCs and Funcome will not get money that way anymore. They do not act fast enaugh to ban them anyway, the damage is allready done. What is the point to try to record and figure out what new account the cheaters use? Besides why would i write reports that take my time off playing the game and spend it on cutting video and writing reports? And then they ban legit players for building reports. Those building tickets are processed much faster then reporting cheaters. There are players that specialise for making tickets for a base build reports. They can not hurt you in pvp so they try to hurt you for some ridiculous building reason. But what is most hurtful is, you are not alowed to defend your case on a wrongful ban. You also literaly have to place structures where cheater access into the mesh as your only option to prevent them getting inside your base through the mesh. And then you are banned for defending yourself from cheaters the best way you can make their cheating harder. I wanted to buy dlcs, but such ban happened to me. Now, i dont want to give them my money anymore, they will not spend it on improving my gaming experiance. I gues RP players base is their last hope to get money, so i their focus is on that group of players only.
Conan is dead, and good riddance tbh. Funcom deserves it for everything they did to try kill the game. Don't get me wrong, we had loads of fun throughout the years on it, but now there's way better options for a Conan-like PvP survival game. You should give Soulmask a try, it's like what Conan should've been and the devs don't hate their PvP community, which is refreshing.
