I was watching this game in SA, crowded bar surrounded by my fellow South Africans. It was a stunning game and I felt such an immense sense of love and pride for Japan during their performance. I was the only one cheering at the end of the match, getting dirty looks from my countrymen, but I couldn't care less. It was such an incredible game to watch, such a beautiful upset and it made me so excited for the future of Rugby. I have loved watching Japan play this beautiful sport, and I love what they have brought to the game. It was a superb win and I am always excited to see them play. Anata no kenshin ni kansha shimasu.

Just down the little street from us, was an incredible little Izakaya - like a pub come restaurant. The game was on TV,,,,, my wife and I watched this in Nadeshiko in Fukui. As a Welshman, I was loud, emotional and happy. We had a wonderful evening,,,,The explanations of what was happening tested my Japanese.... but the atmosphere, joy and pleasure of that night was incredible! I have never learned more in under an hour than I did watching this. While I enjoyed watching some of the game, I had no idea of either the strategy or the psychology going on behind it. What aEddie Jones thought through, and the players executed brilliantly, was stunning enough. But Letch’s captain’s call to go for the - and not to take the safe option of a draw - was proof that the team had changed their mentality. Thank you for your analysis - it’s the rugby union equivalent of a Vermeer painting!

I was in wales for an Ireland vs Canada match that World Cup . After that game, everyone went to the pubs to celebrate and watch this game. Thousands of Irish cheered for Japan in the pubs and on the streets in an atmosphere greater than the World Cup match I was just at.

Genuinely a masterpiece video

Whenever I feel down and depressed I watch the last 10 mins of that game. It takes me back to where I was, on my own in the middle of the night watching on my computer. When they opted for the scrum I was shocked for a moment because taking the draw was by all logical means the sensible option, and no-one would have faulted them for it. But after about 30 seconds I came around to it because I asked myself did they want to be heroes, or did they want to be legends? I would argue strongly this was a turning point for the sport, the day the rugby landscape changed forever, and it's continuing with the likes of Uruguay beating Fiji 4 years later. Long may it continue.

Been meaning to watch this video for a while now and just have, I love all your vodeos/analyses , but this one just felt special. And I honestly believe this is the greatest game of rugby to have ever taken place. Even to this day I can still remember exactly where I was and exactly how it felt pacing my sister living room all on my own (as I was house sitting). And im extrene gutted that we didn't get to host Japan this summer, but I seriously hope they reschedule the England v Japan games soon, because I am dying to see more of the brave blossoms.

I was there it was an amazing day out. Could not believe Japan beating my boys, but they won over many hearts that day, not only their team but also their supporters as both sets of fans celebrated this achievement afterwards in a true show of respect to the sport and to those who live and breathe every minute with their teams.
