So, How do Fowler flaps work? Paper model

I tried to create a paper replica of the mechanism and the workings of a "Fowler flap" used in airplanes. If you want me to post a video explaining why and how they work in terms of aerodynamics, let me know. Thanks everyone ;)

I think you’re mistaking on your mechanism. The flap system on the commercial jet enlists a track guide to influence what the flap does as it extends. Note how the flap starts by first elongating the wing before it begins to angle downward. The mechanism in this video does not represent the motion of flap system on the commercial jet. Some aircraft, however, do enlist the mechanism that you have fabricated. Cool video though. Impressive paper crafting!

Thank you for your feedback, and you are correct, the shown mechanism is actually from a small private jet (I don't recall the name of it but It's a 6-7 seater jet) which's got a single flap surface mechanism and is electronically actuated.
