So Hyang is GREAT, however what makes this song sooo special is the arrangement which she writes / coordinates. It is, by definition, a southern American gospel arrangement, and I believe that this performance was actually part of a church service in Korea. Many church songs are arranged this way. There are about 3 additional layers of "hook" (syncopation, up-tempo, rich orchestral) in this song as a result which is splendidly captivating. In addition to So Hyang's masterful performance is the equally masterful arrangement. Solid stuff. Btw, that is a G5 she is hitting full / mixed voice. Impressive with unbelievably technical skills on full display. Well done!

Sofie, you as well as many many others have said how beautiful SoHyang is. You are beautiful as well. Very stunning yourself. Love your reaction of her. You seem very genuine and kind yourself, as it affects you to listen to her as it does many of us. Some people are just not affected like this. I feel it is odd that anyone would think its crazy to see the audience crying as she sings. There are people who have videos who have said this, and to me, they have no heart. You do however. Do you know the story behind her awesome talent? She has always been singing, but when she was 20 years old and newly married she got cancer in her stomach and had to go through several operation. Because of this, she can never have children. But being member of the church she got people praying for her, and she survived the cancer. Because of this she sees her life a gift from God, and she wanted to dedicate her life and singing to Him. She said she wants her singing to comfort people who are in pain, telling them “I see you- I’ve been there”. She has since then almost exclusively been singing at churches at home and abroad, at charity events, or events to honor other artist - meaningful events, and avoided taking part in the big music industry. She has been contacted many times by international managers who could help her getting famous here in the West (she is famous in Asia, despite her limited performances), but she has always refused. Now she is about 40 years old (she looks so much younger!) and the last few years she has been participating in South Korean music contests on TV. When she first started singing on these TV shows she was very conflicted if this was the right thing to do. But then she saw a woman in the audience crying while she was singing, and she realised that her calling was to reach out to everyone who is hurting, not just people in church. ❤️ She not only has an outstanding talent and the most beautiful voice, her singing touches people in a way that is hard to explain, a gift from above. Hi Sofie, check the video I sent you on her interview about her humble beginnings and music background. She is a Christian singer with gospel background (hence the church influence you mentioned) who apparently declined international contacts because she sings not for money or fame, but for God and to make people happy.

She is a great top singer in South Korea. but, I had cancer at a young age, and I had pneumonia a few years ago. I'm worried. I hope she is healthy. Because it gives us good music!
