I think you are mistaken about the exercise value of this game. I lost 40 pounds playing Fitness Boxing. It was a gateway drug into exercise. Sometimes we need something that is more fun than staring at a wall while you waste an hour of your life on a damned treadmill to start off with. Sometimes just something to get you off the couch and get the good edorphins flowing and to break a sweat will snowball into more.
I wholeheartedly agree with this. I can't fathom how someone can so easily ignore the obvious benefit of gamification of exercise, even if it's not as efficient as more traditional workouts. As someone who's been VERY obese most of his life, games that require physical activity, whether that be from dancing, fighting, or even something as direct as Ring Fit, are well worth the investment if the alternative is doing nothing. To say that the better choice is to put in hard work and exercise is to ignore the many maaaaany people, particularly ones who would fit into the demographic of this game, who find exercise to be completely undesirable. I get literally zero satisfaction out of doing a standard workout. I simply do not get the endorphin rush everyone seems to talk about when they reach peak exertion during exercise. It's probably because of how incredibly fat I am, but it doesn't change the fact that walking on a treadmill or lifting weights only makes me miserable. Meanwhile, going for a walk is actually enjoyable. Dancing is fun. Playing Beat Saber is extremely fun. And if you know that doing those things instead of the more efficient choice is going to be more effective when it comes to getting you to be active on a regular basis, that's the important thing. So good on you, dude. I hope more people can find their own gateway drug into taking care of themselves, even if that means their progress isn't as fast as it could be.
This is true, he is not even trying so I can see how he is not getting any benefits from it, I just got it like 2 days ago and I consider myself a gym rat and in great shape but this still made me sweat!
@AROAH Me too!! I have super ADHD, and I'm really unfit, so every time I try and exercise, it doesn't really feel good at all, like you said. I'm really grateful for fitness games like this, or even something like just dance. Heck even that fitness RPG from Nintendo was pretty cool.
I play Fitness Boxing 2, and it seems almost the same to me but with Vocaloid characters instead of the usual models and Vocaloid songs instead of the generic songs. I REALLY hope they recognize the English market and make it available worldwide, I'd definitely play this one too!

This, Fist of the North Star and FB2 are all basically just FB1 with minor differences. Well, ok FB2 is a straight upgrade from 1 If you're interested, it might be available on PlayAsia (if it has physical release)
I’m disabled, Fit Boxing has serious exercise value, in fact it’s actually above my level of ability. Shame because this is such a cute/fun looking game! I don’t think you should say people should just do something more effective, when for many people starting with something, anything, they actually enjoy is a huge leap. And everyone’s level of ability and fitness condition is different. It’s actually really important for many people to begin where what you would consider “low level” or “small” or in this case even “ineffective” and start from there.
I was personally super excited for this game as someone with chronic pain and fatigue. I'm hoping this will help me get back into better shape without killing me lol
The game is getting localized All the other boxing games have come out of Japan and there are signifiers that this one will come also The fist of the north star came out 3 months after.
@@kellyscorner1319 People noticed the Australian & Brazilian classification boards rated the game for release. Meaning it's only a matter of time before we hear an official announcement later. Again fist of the north star too 3 months to get a global release.

This game reminds me of the boxing and physical game concept I saw it in a local hospital where they engage elderly folks to play and keep fit. Not for younger peeps but works for eldery folks which is great
I struggle with disability that doesn't let me workout for long periods, but this would actually be a really good motivator and alternative! So great for anyone who struggles with any sort of health.
Weight your hands, punch above eye level and with solid boxing technique. Engage your core, and punch with your full body. And I could see this being a fun workout warmup.
I don't want to be the "Fix uR pOSture" guy but making sure that your punches and stance is correct makes the game very rewarding. The gains are also real. I used Fit Boxing 2 for months and the results are visible Although it registers half assed punches as Just, in the end if your goal is to get fit, don't cheat yourself. But if you just want to play a fun rhythm game, it's perfectly fine too.
@@kyurei4478 Love it. It's the best way my lazy ass could get a full body exercise without thinking of a plan and just playing a game and repeating the same techniques during my off time. Really wanna try real boxing once I find a good gym near me.
In my experience with Fitness Boxing 2, the game can be pretty good exercise. A lot of it hinges on trying to actually replicate good form for boxing as you play. Of course pump up and ddr are gonna be 5x the calorie burn tho so it might seem easy going for you! Haha
just so everyone knows, there will be english support for the game (and some other languages), but it will be released in hong kong, taiwan, south korea, and southeast asia. it will release in july. (: i'm excited, i'm very intimidated about the idea of going to the gym or even just getting into regular exercise on my own, but being able to do it with miku is gonna make it so much easier and way more fun 💚
the editing and pacing of this video were very nice!! it's only 5 minutes, but it had a relaxing yet interesting vibe to it!! i do hope this game gets an american release sometime, i would love to play it
Neat. Yeah, the games are easy to score in, but you can make it as hard as you want by using proper technique or improving your footwork. fully extend your arms, engage your core, rotate your shoulders. Keep your guard up too (the lower your hands go, the easier it is). You can disable stretches as well. Stretching is fun, but I don't need miku to show me how to do it.

I think it's a bummer that it doesn't have the option for the super hardcore rythm gameplay, but there's a possibility that they tried to implement it but when testing it they though that it might not have been that great of an idea
Strange question - do you need to stand to play this game? I've been having a lot of health issues this past year after getting covid twice and sometimes I'm just in way too much pain to stand for long. I have Ring Fit Adventure and even tho I really liked it before, its not something I can really play right now (though I'd like to in the future again). This seems like it could be the right amount of exercise for me in my state, but if it wants you to squat or something id like to know if I can at least spoof it. :')
Its all based on the joycons movements So you can totally play while sitting, or whatever is most comfortable I chose to really exaggerate my movements to get the full experience but subtle movements will register no problem (Also the songs/difficulty will display which notes are present in the song, so you can pick ones that dont include needing to duck / crouch)

Really appreciate this review as I saw listings for the game and mt birthday is coming up, I won't lie I saw miku in a super cute outfit and went 👀 Somtimes it's just good to get something new game wise, and if miku makes me get off my butt and exercise even if it's very casual it's better than nothing ! Answered the question I had as well about if it had a tutorial too, every time I see easily available vocaloid stuff in the US I try and support our queen 👑 🎤
It depends on how fit you are but in my experience doing fitness boxing like 3 times a week has been great for my stamina and weight loss, it's probably not as effective as like running or going to the gym but it works if you have a sedentary lifestyle and has additional modes for collecting unlockables if you want to keep going after the daily workout mode, also the fist of the north star version exists and that's profoundly hilarious and I love it.
Confirmed for US this fall! May be the one to get if you skipped out on all the other Fitness Boxing entries. Plus not a huge Miku fan but her music’s catchy so it works in any video game.😆
It seems to be a game that mixes rythme game and exercise. It's honestly an interesting concept to make you experience music differently. I think it really has potential even though it's maybe a bit too basic here.
vocaloid is my special interest, and i also deal with very severe depression and disabilities. that fact has caused my physical fitness to drop horribly due to the days being dark lately. i think if someone put this game in my hands, i would genuinely be motivated to play just because miku's on the cover
I love fitness boxing 2 and basically 100% it, it dose get harder with lung punch, side punch, block, side step and back step. If you do the footwork along with it, I'd end up burning close to 400cal according to my watch. It's a much more fun alternative to the treadmill, a good addition to weight training!
my dude please try this again and put your full body into those punches and engage your core and punch instead of just gently move your arms and try songs like Over Lit on the hardest difficulty and I promise your opinion on exercise value will change

Sorry you went to all that trouble to buy/play the game! If you had gotten a hardcopy you could just plug-n-play without changing regions bc switch games arent reigon locked like older consoles. Funnily enough Ghost Trick on the switch only has japan phyical copies & when I put it in the game auto-changed to english because it has the option & my region is set to US Miku Fitboxing does not have that, still muddling through japanese

Eh as a ddr player you must know youre at least a LITTLE wrong about the exercize stuff right? Sure its not the most exciting but its gonna help loads of people. You also werent really trying to make it fun. Its like Just dance. Either play with all your might or dont play at all
As someone who studied martial arts, may I say that your punches are terrible? Twist your body as you punch and fully extend. Even the NPC does it better than you. The twist as you extend is supposed to help your punch go even faster. E = mv^2 and a bigger v means bigger E, which means your punch actually would be good for something if you ever need it. The punches you do are just mimicking the motion without understanding it.
