There are only a few gamers that can work through this type of gamer trauma. Most of them also seem to enjoy the pain though and/or just telling a story.
Man I remember just playing this game whenever I had free time. I had gotten so far but every time I was about to finish something happens and it wiped all of my progress, making me start all over again.
I think Run 2 feels different because the tunnel style is entirely different, with cubes placed in locations in a 3D space instead of tiles placed in locations in a 2D space wrapped to a cylinder.

I thought his comentary was ex post facto, but then he said, " I need to focus on this part" and I was surprised. Amazing how good he's gotten at talking while doing the speedrun, especially since the script is so clear and well delivered.
You should go back to Run 3 and do one of the other categories! For example, the one where you're allowed to use all of the characters, since that would be really interesting to see which characters you use for different levels, with the pastafarian maybe making some levels cakewalks, or the rabbit speeding through stuff, etc.
The only run game I ever played as a kid was run 2, and I love it so much more because of how creative the openness of the levels can allow you to do them
Woah. Huge nostalgia for this game. In high school my friends and I would play skater mode with quality low and speed high to make it as fast as possible and then try to complete it that way. We called it "lightning mode".

After watching his speed run on run one, I can see the difference in movement and game style, while in run one you run inside of blocks and jump throughout the shape of them. While in run two you run on the outside of the blocks with how you can choose the side you run on.
It's amazing to see your sanity progression after each game you speed run on a real note your videos have really entertained me, crazy how you almost have half a million subs now, please never stop making vids xD
I haven't checked those other Run games so I'll be checking those videos, but the aesthetic of this reminds me greatly of the DOS game Skyroads. I wouldn't be surprised if it took inspiration from that. I'd recommend trying it because gets quite challenging in the later levels. It also has a xmas edition with all new levels IIRC.
i definitely like run 3 the most i mean, 1. it has _309_ levels, 2. there's different types of tunnels that branch off from the OG tunnel, and tunnels that branch off from THOSE tunnels, 3. there's 2 modes (explore, infinite), 4. you unlock different costumes/characters depending on buying them or completing a tunnel, 5. _LORE,_ people, the LORE!
There's a childhood game I've been attempting called "The Munchables". Runs take about an hour and 25 minutes if you'd like to try. There aren't many runners for this game but I find it very entertaining to savagly eat vegetables as fast as you can.

Damn this is a game I used to speedrun, I got around 2 seconds short of the "fast skater dj" category wr (for the runner level set) but my laptop was never good enough to record it
Tbh run 2 is my favorite of the series with 3 being my least. I think this is because of the freedom there is in 2 where you could never go outside of the cube in 1 and 3 and I really appreciated that freedom
You should speedrun the game slope on y8.com , There aren't really any speedrun categories but me and my friends have been competing over fastest time to reach 30 platforms, fastest time to reach 50 platforms, and fastest time to react 70 platforms. All you have to do is start the timer as soon as you hit go (or after an ad ends) and then stop the timer as soon as you reach the number of platforms you're running for. (Warning: The Game is Kinda Glitchy)
I have been waiting for this one, but not for the gameplay...for the music. The music for Run 2 is SO GOOD!! I wish it was louder in this video. If anyone knows where I can find this song, let me know.
I loved playing it on my school computer when I was younger I speed runner all of the run games and got some really good times run 2 is my favorite run game
I practiced this game so goddamn much back in school, I was legit proud that I could beat the entire thing in under 7 mins (skater, no bonus levels). I'm no speedrunner, but the other 12 year olds were pretty impressed lmao
