If its a test to see how you'll react or make you jealous then you're right. If it's a prank then you need to tell them that you don't appreciate that humor. If you're both comfortable joking around like this then there's no issue. There's nothing wrong with having a sense of humor like this.
If your partner does this it’s because you’ve already established that being with someone else isn’t an option… you’re not married yet. I always tell a gf when we get serious that I don’t own them, they’re their own person, they can sleep with whoever they want because I truly care about them and their happiness. If she meets some new guy, and she thinks he’s the answer… go for it. Absolutely follow your heart. Just let me know so I can move on and find my person, too.

I could never even dream of doing that to my partner even as a joke. Even the split second of betrayal and doubt that it would put in him would be awful to do.

Had a bf who was trying to test me. I'm really glad that we didn't have smart phones back then, but my secret "protection" was how oblivious I was to anyone trying to make me jealous. Yeah, it was mostly an accident. He tried it all, too. Dumped him when he actually was caught cheating, and then he tried to get me to cheat with him on his new gf. Seriously, I don't understand what goes on in some people's minds!
To both of you that have replied, sorry, I should have expanded on my statement a little bit. My larger point that I didn't really even say was that the true test of a relationship is life. It stresses us all regardless of gender. There's no need to create fake drama to test our partner- time and circumstance will provide plenty of real circumstances. Thank you for your replies.

The closest I ever came to cheating was doing this & he never looked at my phone 🤣 He was cheating on me. I was 22 & immature & INSTEAD of leaving him. I tried to get fake even.
