Viofo, blackvue and those high end one usually runs on capacitor , they’re expensive,but they’re more lasting than the battery one for our climate here

i had this A800 running in my car for more than a month by now, everything works well, video quality is excellent, and the only downside is the parking mode. it relies on g-sensor, and has no video buffering, so when it registers an impact, then only the camera wakes up and start recording. this method of parking surveilance will mean you dont get to see what happened before the impact, and might possibly miss important information about the incident. my 6 years old Blackvue on the other hand, relies on motion detection and G-sensor, and has buffer of 30seconds, so once motion/impact triggered the parking mode recording, it will write the 30seconds of video from buffer to sdcard, and continue to record from there. the 512GB microSD Samsung EvoPlus will work. i had the Amazon rebranded version (Samsung Evo Select)

agree with you bobby, i just bought these A800 as well and it works wonder but half the price compared to other front and back dashcam. used the same sd card as you and for sure the sd card will last because it is built to handle dashcams as well. the only thing others is because they use capacitor which last longer. but these should probably last same duration as the car.

Used to have Viofo A119+gps but the hanging and sliding mechanism just dont last and it fail over time in hot weather, end up installed two 70mai 1s for front and back separated so it wont fail together if it fail. Its been over a year now and counting😁

Most of the SD cards that you buy off Lazada or Shopee are counterfeit. They don't last. Especially those that comes together with the dash cam. If it's not bought off the official store, its usually counterfeit. My own experience.

Do update the firmware of your 70mai A800 as the latest firmware allows the front camera to record at 4K simultaneously with the rear camera (RC06). The RC06 has always been 1080p so that remains. Later updates might bring back the well praised voice control feature which was present in the 70mai Pro

I still have my Viofo A129 duo. bought it 3years back. yeah FHD for the front , rear HD only. its good enough sharp, but i dint even record in FHD. it can only save like 15min in FHD. so yeah HD 720p at least 30min. Got it at a risk, bought online from unkown seller with no rating. RM400. hahahha. When i was looking for one then... SONY Starvis sensor was so rare.... Now its in almost every brand and affordable

@@rkwan67 is it... Hmm i never really checked. Possible I got my numbers wrong. Never really took out the SD card. Dash cams are like good luck charm. It prevents accident form happening. I just based on a reviewer. Mine just 32GB...

I'm not sure if its still happening, but when I bought my dashcams a couple of years ago there were fake Samsung micro and SD cards in the market. A colleague bought 1 which had the correct stated storage capacity but failed to write 3mths later, and when he called the seller to complain, he overheard in the background between the seller and someone "another one has found out about our trick". The card physically had slightly different markings and color than the official Samsung.

I already have ... But it's not 4k and it's ugly as fuck and uses a suction cup and always drops off in hot weather .. Moreover it is single channel so I wanna change all to this 70mai
