It's very sad that cancers are affecting so many people. But why do you feel that you have to broadcast it? It is NOT an insult I'm trying to bring across. It is an actual question. Why do people feel this need?

i have a colleague diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Like many he didn’t bother to go for a check up after not feeling well. A year or 2 passed, he fainted. Sent to hospital. Doctor told him it’s stage 4 cancer. Less than 3 months less he passed away

@@forced-to-change-name Yes, radiation causes cancer. Realised this when I was given radiation therapy to treat my cancer. Ironic but I was told the amount I was administered during my treatment was akin to/ less than the radiation an average person gets from flying in a year blah blah blah, I had “no choice” but to go ahead with the treatment to “rid” my body of the cancer I had (& in the process damaging other things in my body => side effects). Anyway, my point is yes, radiation is a medically acknowledged cause of cancer. But if it’s because someone is staying in a place where the soil has a dangerous level of radiation, won’t everyone (or at least most people) living there get cancer too? I was also told that only places like Chernobyl that radiation in the soil/ air is of concern, SG is safe. Or if you fly extensively then you’re predisposed to getting some kind of cancer. Then I started to wonder if the EM waves from all our electronics like laptops, mobiles, TVs in our rooms & the over usage of them (I use my mobile A LOT & have all 3 in my room) indeed causes cancer like some rumours claim. 🤷🏻‍♀️ All my specialists told me they didn’t know what caused my cancer (since it wasn’t hereditary & there’s no way to pinpoint a cause otherwise) & based on my research it’s most like due to inflammation of the body that’s a result of a combination of bad eating & sleeping habits & stress. I think this could be the reason for most people getting cancer but why a specific area of the body like the lungs getting attacked puzzles me.
