Right!? Watching the movie afterward (which hasn’t been dubbed yet) threw me for such a loop because the characters felt so different. Voice acting is really a powerful thing. Hope that darn movie gets dubbed soon😭
Kellen Goff was a great choice for Sasakis voice. Like the way he speaks as Sasaki is just… I don’t even know how to describe it. Like the little details of how he rolls or clicks his tongue on certain words or his tone will be higher pitched on certain words, or how he’ll even use a baby talk voice sometimes, like he seems like he’s having so much fun just talking.
Everyone wants a Sasaki in their life. He is the type of person who is open to pretty much anything and won't judge you for it. He knew nothing about bl, but was more than willing to learn since he wanted to spend time with Miyano.
00:00 LMAOOO SEEING THAT SCENE ANIMATED AND VOICED INSTAKILLED ME 0:35 I just noticed Hirano ‘I like you as a person’ Taiga lmaoooo, gotta love the Hirano to Kagiura reference, he better get clowned on forever once he realizes his feelings and confesses 3:02 whoa, Hanzawa sounds exactly like I expected him to 4:18 Same, Hanzawa’s posh voice is too good, unexpected and perfect 5:50 Same, except I’d throw on every line of each of these characters and get carried away lol I’d clip all the Sasaki voice moments but that’s basically the whole video, great clipping choices lol 5:56 “right in front of my salad” lmaoooo
This show is already too cute and it makes my heart melt, but that Dub definitely added such an endearing adorableness to Sasaki on top of all the fun that Hanzawa is. I loved every VA in this.
I was debating whether or not to watch this show, not because I don't desperately want to, but because I don't think I can handle it without a lot of screaming and maybe some tears. Now that I've watched this video, I am completely certain that I can't handle it, and equally as certain that I will be watching it as soon as I get home XD Update: I'm on episode 7 rn and im FIGHTING for my LIFE they're so FUCKING CUTE AHHHH Update 2: I have completed the show and I only barely survived, it was too cute, so now I'm watching it again
I needed to watch this with a pillow in my arms at all times to release the high pitched screams into and hug so I don't wake up everyone in a 50 feet radius
Kellen Goff as Sasaki is legit my most favorite thing in this world. He has that voice that made freaking love the character and gosh, I want to marry a person with that voice!
Ngl at first when I heard Sasaki's voice in the dub, I absolutely hated it. After a few episodes though it did grow on me and now I adore his voice. I think the initial shock was that I just never imagined Sasaki to be so energetic, it really contrasts his personality from the sub and the Manga. He's always portrayed as this gentle kind of character who was always working hard and exhausted physically and mentally so it was out of left field. i do like it though when Eng Dubs make the character their own though when reasonable, gives me a reason to watch both sub and dub
I almost never watch anime in Eng Dub since I prefer the JP VAs - but the Eng VAs definitely did an awesome job here! The emotions behind the voices and how they really portray the character how it was in the original dub, it's amazing! This and SK8 are my favorite Eng Dub animes that I can watch in full English tbh hahaha
Japanese voice acting was absolutely awesome, but English dub just make me dying from laughing. Now I want to watch it in English fully. English voice actors are heroes ❤
I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE I absolutely love this show to death and have not seen anyone talking about it for the longest time Kellen Goff has such an expressive voice and I love it so much
Lol same although Given also played a part. I dipped my feet into the BL pool several times over the years but nothing stuck bc it also tended to be pretty fetisized. This and Given though gave me renewed hope and I've come to realize mangaka's are finally able to write BL as actual normal relationships instead of .....really abusive fetish stuff. Guys needed better representation than that. I've found some many great series in the past year and even had to get a new bookshelf to house them. I recommend these as well: Therapy game (has a sequel series and related to another series all by the same mangaka), On or Off (starts off real rough but has developed into a lovely series if you can make it past the initial incident that gets its aftermath handled the best I've ever seen eventually), Living with Him, Farming for Love, My Dear Agent (this series really really shows why communication is always important, I love it so much), Cherry Magic (odd series but still keeps me reading), Koimonogatari (very serious series that deals with intense subjects. So amazing in its delicate or harsh treatment of the situations the characters end up in and got me to look at those types of things with new eyes), Breathless Momentum (omg YES is quite for mature audiences though), Hide and Seek (comedy but has definite serious moments), and Restart After Coming Back Home (slow burn but worth every moment of plot)
@@lel7841THANK U for the recommendations, I’ve also heard there are quite a few problematic BL’s. I need more fluff like Sasaki and Miyano, thank you muchly.
@schleepy6362 OK here's some more that I'll split into a Mature and more youth friendly list: (Mature list) 1. Home (by Yep), 2. Grab the Stars (short series doesn't seem at first like fluff but it absolutely is, ML is awkward as h3ll but comes through), 3. Cupid in the Rainbow Trap (ML is a golden retriever type, MC is a slight idiot), and Our Sunny Days (my current favorite and is something I will love my whole life most likely- it's currently on season break). Home and Our Sunny Days only have some Mature stuff in it and have similar themes but they are definitely different stories.
@schleepy6362 More youth friendly list: 1. 2gether the series (slow burn and you'll actually want to smack both mains upside the head but still a very fun read), 2. Whose Baby is it? (almost G rated, starts off weird but gets better until around Chapter 200 when it just gets kinda bizarre and off theme), 3. My Love Mix Up (high school story that I'd normally avoid but this was too good, there is 1 implied but not shown Mature situation late in the series), 4. One-week Family (really cute story that does help heal the mains- nice character progression for all. Is short). I wish I had some more reccs for this list but I mostly read Mature stories. I probably enjoyed #4 on this list the most followed by #1. #3's MC has major cringe for a while but he does get much better by the end of the series. Only read #2 if you're just looking for a long series and aren't worried about completing it. I did enjoy for the most part of what I read of it but I probably won't finish it
Bro Sasaki and Miyano gave me LIFE BEST anime ever we need at least 4 or 5 seasons of this and I will be happy. ALSO MAD respect to Sasaki's English VA like bro it's AMAZING
I have recommended this anime to my friend many times and I don't think they have seen it yet which is extremely upsetting. LOOK AT THIS MASTERPIECE IT'S ADORABLE
i love jonah scott in this oh my god. the dub VAS KILLED it with this, the translation, the direction and everything is amazing. i wish all dubs got this treatment for real...like sk8's dub was similar in level and it was so enjoyable
