You should always restart your server at least once every day. This allows the RAM used by Minecraft to clear our useless and old data from when your players disconnect, chunks, entities, etc. Restarting once every 12-24 hours will make sure that you have little to no lag from overuse of RAM.
Or they are trying to literally trick skeppy into thinking they are a fan by saying i love your vids when in reality they are a hater Just a theory A GAME THEORY

Hypixel servers do restart. People who don’t play sky block a lot don’t know it because some people aren’t around for the server to close down/restart. In sky block hubs and island are being restarted constantly. Servers need to restart because servers are running on computers and depending on how good the computer is at not overheating it won’t need the restart for a good while but still needs the restarts like Skeppy said it does reduce lag and etc
Literally every server/computer has to restart. HYPIXEL has to restart sometimes, and their servers are worth $1,000,000! That dude was so freaking stupid.

I think hypixel does restart but because its a network they sorta hide the offline servers so that to ppl it doesnt seem like they are offline because pretty much a network is multiple servers running together so they restart different servers at different times and use a backup server to cover it up meaning only hypixel can say if it restarts but it probs does because it need s to reset its memory xd
for those of you that don't know why a server needs to restart, Worlds are infinite but disk space and player time is not. Eventually all convenient resources and building spaces are used up and players are forced further and further apart until they are effectively playing separate maps - the server is no longer befitting from overlapping loaded chunks. basically, some servers run a computer, one that is always up, while others run online. either way, the amount of space you have for memory fills up over time. if you dont restart your servers, the server will crash more and more, until eventually, the server wont let anyone join. restarting the server get rid of data that you dont need, like entities or map size. skeppy, if you read this, please tell me if i missed anything.
