my "complete story mode on ultimate difficulty" is stuck on 40/41, its bugged so im not going to be able to get platinum anytime soon until they fix it. Proto Bahamut does count as a primal because my friend got the trophy while clearing it
played the whole game as gran?? uhhh dude you could have just used the gold books to get any other chara to lvl 100 and the ambrosia to level their masteries.
your lucky is way better than mine, I'm sitting with all the field notes and the trophy just don't pop, blocking my platinum and there is nothing I can do about it.
Had to throw the towel in this game. Loved the visuals and gameplay but i still feel like it plays too much like a gotcha game. I dont have tons of time to be hoping i get the gear i need to progress
I just got the platinum myself yesterday. Unfortunately, the game lands in that area where I'm probably not going to be touching it ever again, even with the new characters and missions on the way. Though to be honest, that's not entirely the game's fault. I didn't really do much of any research for it. Despite knowing about it for years, it all began and ended at just being an action RPG. And yeah, I like those. I was also getting more into "Granblue" in general, been playing a bunch of "Versus Rising" leading up to "Relink" releasing so I was curious in that aspect as well. And that's pretty much it. Actually playing it, the game wasn't quite what I was expecting it to be. Granted, the first 20-ish hours was. A perfectly decent action RPG with a mixed but entertaining enough story. But then it ended...and the next 100 hours was playing a "Phantasy Star Online" style game, or "Monster Hunter" if that makes more sense. But with way more grinding and RNG. I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised given the source material but after 'Versus Rising", I guess I just let my guard down. Though even past that, there were a number of other annoyances and issues I had. I think my breaking point was when I got into Proud mode. I cleared the first couple missions, decided to finally give up, and just played the rest of the missions online with other players. I just couldn't be arsed to put in all that effort anymore. Funnily, between the three "Granblue" platinums I have ("Relink", "Versus", and "Versus Rising"), "Relink" is the least rare one despite being the one that takes the most time and being the biggest headache. Guess it must be cause the other two are fighting games.
The last weapom is a deluxe edition thing and not needed. Others have said that Red item pickups in Eugen/Rosetta fate episodes are needed and cause the trophy to unlock but I can't verify that myself.
Dude you say your luck stat is like negative 50 but you got the prismatic slime after 3 runs and, more ridiculously, you got ALL 17 Terminus weapons before getting the 100 primal beasts clears?!?! That is absolutely bonkers luck. Proto Bahamut is a primal beast (I know because this trophy popped for me after clearing a Proto Bahamut run). I am currently sitting at 108 Proto Bahamut clears and I have six Terminus weapons. SIX. And you got 17 before hitting 100, I just can’t believe that. Honestly, the terminus weapon grind has kinda ruined the game for me. At the rate I’m going it will take me over 300 runs to get all of them and I just want to play some of the other characters now. Proto Bahamut is braindead boring at this point and if I don’t see more dropping soon I’m just gonna quit I think. You’re so right about there being some kind of pity/crafting system rather than relying on RNG.
I looked into this after reading because I was sure I fought Bahamut over 100 times before getting all weapons and so I just assumed he didn't count as a primal beast Couldn't find anything online so I'm just gonna assume my game wasn't tracking correctly but I've got no way to prove that
trophies are weird measure points, why people do that to theirselves, just achieve what you want to achieve not what a system tells you to do. This also applies to life.
