34:10 Don't worry SIU definitely has a plan for Rachel. If you had observed from the anime, they had given us Rachel's point of view of the 1st season. On the webtoon 1st season, she didn't have that. I know for sure that SIU didnt give us Rachel's side of the story yet. When she stabbed Dann's legs at s2 chapter 51, before she did it, a panel of Michael and Apple was shown, who were appointed by fug to kill Khun atm. They were supposed to kill Dann, but Rachel stepped in to stab his legs and did not kill him. Maybe she did it to pretend she killed Dann but in fact saving him. That's my take on that chapter as I reread and reread. SIU didnt give Rachels side of the story yet like the anime did but it will surely come! PS. I hate Rachel too.
According to the author politics is a huge part of the Tower so we are in for a RIDE. He kinda gave away some info about political situation and how Jahad rules the tower in his fancafe so If you are interested you can dive in when you are caught up. But yeah, Tower of God is not that kind of story that would give you all the answers right away. But for me personally it was the first big story that was truly interesting. The world and setting is original and characters are really well written. Combine it with realistic politics, striking lines and superb storytelling... and you get basically greatness. I am not saying ToG doesn’t have any problems but for me it offers a lot more than any other huge stories like One Piece for example. Sorry OP fans but it was hell to read, and characters were too childish for my taste,
Yeah I feel like anime watchers complained about the mystery and how nothing happened but I feel like if they knew a little more they would understand tog has a really intruget and complex story

I just hope crunchyroll learned about pacing from season 1 of TOG and the atrocity that was The God of Highschool. If they have then season 2 of the TOG anime, has a chance to be truely great.

I totally agree with your criticism on drawn out mysteries. Personally, I think the author can have his mysteries, but at least have characters ask about them. That way I don't lose my mind thinking I've missed something.

In my opinion Rachel has just gotten really lucky, like she's always been at the right place at the right time. Like I feel like that's one of the biggest reasons how she's going up the tower despite how weak she is (especially for also being an irregular)

Like slipping in the tower's doors instead of actually opening it herself, not even taking the test on the 1st floor yet got a special deal to move up, was given ghost to protect her, being helped by Hansung Yu and Hwaryun orchestrate her paralyzed leg and Bam's "death" to get Khun and the others to carry her like a princess to the next floor so all she has been doing is sitting on her wheel chair crying crocodile tears going "Boohoo my dear friend Bam is dead it's all my fault please comfort me Mr. Khun while I tell you the dream that I had last night that I completely made up" then once she's all alone she twirls and dances around saying how good it is to be treated like a princess. And oh gosh it doesn't stop there, that was just season 1 and early season 2, but I'm not gonna list all of them cause that would be listing Rachel's whole climb on the tower. And I think Rachel's teammates came from fug, they call her "heroine" and Headon made a deal promising to make her the heroine, I think getting those powerful teammates was part of the deal.
Some interesting information that I have no idea where it was, but apparently King Jahad is actually ranked 3rd in the Tower of God, the 2nd rank is Enryu, the one that created the Floor of Death. And finally the first rank is Phantamium, who has the power to control fate. Also I caught up to the series in 4 days (Season 3 Chapter 63 at the time)
Oh yeah, I forgot, since neither Phantamium or Enryu have been seen for so long, Jahad is still considered the storngest in the Tower even though he is ranked 3rd.

I totally agree , Tower Of God is absolutely incredible from the worldbuilding to the lore to the fights and art to the characters. Honestly , the anime should've done it more justice.

Am I the only one who finds the hell train arc to be one of the weaker parts of the series? I love Name hunt Station and Floor of death but those are when the plot is taken outside of the train. By putting the story into an endless corridor of identically looking metal boxes, the story becomes removed from the world of ToG, which I think is a shame for a series which has the word as arguably its biggest strength.
Honestly i was surprised i enjoyed the later arcs as much as I did. You see, Anaak is my favorite character and as you can see, she wasn't involved in any of the later arcs at all. But for some reason, the Last Station and the Hidden Floor became my favorite arcs in season 2 due to the absolute greatness of the characters present. Data Jahad, Data Edahn, Evankhell, and Kallavan were all amazing and all left a big impression on me. I will never forget when Bam and the others were about to escape the last station and Kallavan appeared in front of them OUT OF NOWHERE. It gave me a "Oh sht we're screwed" vibe. Or when Yuri, Karaka, and Evankhell all simultaneously attacked Kallavan and he just CHARGED THROUGH all their attacks to get to Bam. Kallavan's dominating presence proceeds to be unmatched even in season 3. Easily my 2nd favorite character (cause Anaak is still my fave).
But there's quite important clues like when Bam was telling Endorsi about how much Rachel means to him there was a flashback of the scene of Rachel's first time entering Bam's cave. I missed it in my first read and I honestly just saw this on my reread, in the panel it shows her holding a knife with a red thing that looks like a fabric maybe a cloth. I wonder what she was going to do with that knife.. I have a theory about it. Also the murals in the first floor actually foreshadow the whole story of tog as said by SIU. And Rachel called Headon the "fairy" in the "book" that takes kids to the tower, it might give a clue to where Rachel got her information about the tower. And Phantaminium's existence, SIU said he had a conversation with Yuri and killed high rankers but for some reason spared Yuri. Which might explain how Yuri knew that an irregular was entering at the very beginning. Well anyway since I pointed these out you don't need to read it (/^▽^)/
@@aperson2697 Yeah, then again Phanta is only mentioned then after which theres 0 words about him, (what im saying after this are not spoilers, its just info on him from the wiki) and he won't be in the story either way, like the guys power is to literally alter reality with his thoughts, thats too op to exist in the plot, especially after knowing that the only way to beat him is if he fights with another axis user, which is basically a god from what i get
Yeah the anime was great, you dont need season one to understand season two. You miss some iconic lines, but you dont miss any key exposition or plot points, plus you are missing out on too much content

I really love Bam's whole arc through season 2 of finding his own identity. He's naive Bam is season one. Controlled, breaking free, putting it on as a disguise, then finally accepting some parts of himself are shared with FUG.
Ah, the Hell Train. A saga that, by my calculations, would require two 24 episode seasons to cover, divided neatly in half with the fight against Karaka after beating Kaiser. Only for chapters 306,307,308, and 309 to be an OVA or something.
same i went and read season 1 even though i watched season 1 and i honestly couldn’t even tell what was missing. i thought season 1 was a good adaptation and you understand almost everything if you you jump straight to season 2.
I love tower of god, but I'm worried because it's been so long since they posted a new chapter, even though they confirmed it was coming back, I think no one thought it might take this long it's been inactive for about 8 months or so.
Well I mean we know the author SIU has had personal issues going on as well as health issues with I believe his wrists. Don’t expect it to come back before June and don’t be surprised if it takes even longer than that
Yeah siu was having some problems with health and he was supposed to come back in like November of last year but his wrist started to have problems it’s sad. Hope he gets better and releases more amazing contnent

If you've seen the anime you definitely can skip season one of the webtoon. The biggest difference is the connection between Baam and Endorsi, which might not make total sense. Other than that you're not missing a whole lot. Maybe skim through anyway though?

I really hope the author is doing well. He is on a hiatus for medical problems currently. The author stopped in the middle of a huge battle and i can’t wait to get back to the story. The anime was really well done I think. I really liked the unique art style they used and the story was very good in terms of making you want to know what happens next. It’s rare I watch a series and decide to read the original material but tower of god was one of those for me. This story has a ton of potential and I hope the season 2 of the anime is adapted well. They did skip certain parts in season 1 that will become somewhat important further into the story, like Bam and Endorsi’s relationship. But overall it’s nothing that can’t be fixed in season 2 with a couple flashbacks or something. Either way it’s promising to see more people supporting this story as the author is currently having a difficult time and faces possible surgery for his arthritis. I’m sure he’s glad to see his work get recognized.
Honestly I’m not sure I will, I plan to release the comic animatics as shorts over the coming weeks but me being aware of everything that happens in the anime, I’m not sure I could make a good video about the new season. I am watching tho.
I wouldnt start season 3 dude not until it starts back up, being fully caught up is annoying haha save some content ( season 3 has been awesome so far but isnt very long and ends at a very exciting spot due to the hiatus)
The issue is that webtoon is going to put a block of one episode a day only soon, therefore if you wait that will be implemented so you can’t binge it all regardless.

I gotta say all the Jahad princesses and Queen Yuri are so fine I just finished season 2 and damn I cant help but to get hyped at all the fight scenes and all of it. though every comic has their flaws so its fine for me to wait and read tons of chapters to get answers. and to 20:17 - 20:21 damn the scenes of rak and you making those noises crack me up so adorable xD
Honestly, when Bam got “water boarded” by “crippling depression,” that’s when I knew that we weren’t in Shounen Kansas anymore. Also, the bait-and-switch of who is _who_ was ABSOLUTELY _NUTTY._
Debating it, not sure. We’ll see when season two drops what the landscape is like. Not sure if season 2 will have the same, hype to make it worth while to do another big video like that. It takes a long time to edit those.

I’m definitely open to reading more it’s just a bit exhausting to read for me as I’m not typically into ongoing long series like ToG. I prefer shorter manga so idk when I’ll get the time but if the demand is there like maybe when season 2 of the anime comes out I may consider it.
Ima have to agree with you on that kaiser fight, it really reminded me of star wars with the whole reading the shinsu and Itano circus from mechs where they shoot missiles that fly all over the place and the opponent's mech would dodge them with style except in TOG it was bam who decided to airboard his way while doing flips and shit and basically reading the force. It was just super entertaining visually and the way the fight was choreographed was also impressive. This coming from a dude who likes to some energy on energy action like bam vs data jahad or perhaps a one sided beatdown which you will see come beginning of season 3. Overall, the kaiser fight was super good and legit had me feeling younger when seeing how it went down and there weren't any cheap tricks or abilities on the MC's end, just pure talent up against the cheater. edit: if you don't know what Itano circus is, just search it up on youtube and the best video to represent the aesthetic is called "it's the circus"

But I still love this webtoon, it was my Monday routine 😭 I hope SIU won’t change and rush the story due to his health issues. It’s making me anxious that he might not continue it himself and another person will take over ToG. After SIU announced that he might be on a 6 months hiatus, I decided to read something new so I’m reading “Omniscient Reader”. It’s quite interesting but ToG is just special to me and it is the best manhwa/webtoon I’ve read. I give all my respect to SIU for creating this masterpiece.
