First time around, J Cole wanted the feature but YB didn't show up because he was going through something and didn't reach out to explain. That's the first time. The 2nd time is something we know nothing about other than YB talking about it in a song & J Cole responding. What we know is that the 2nd time around, YB wanted the feature this time (possibly his way of making up for not showing up the first time.) We don't know how it went to make YB feel like J Cole was faking like he was gonna do the feature. I'm not saying J Cole was faking but from YB's perspective, he was. I'm clarifying what YB meant by the line, not what actually happened, the truth, or who was right or wrong. YB said he played it cold/Cole like he was gone do a feature. Meaning to YB, Cole was acting like he was on board with it but really wasn't. Again, not saying that was the case but I'm explaining what the lyric meant.
