Hot wheels, socks, wash clothes, electronic cables, many things are flushable! Doesn't mean they should be. I don't fault people for falling for the "flushable" label but hey... best we can do is inform and educate people.

When I worked at a large apartment complex. We would have typically clogs but I swear we had more problems with "flushable" wipes than anything else including hair, rice, egg shells etc. They would say but they are flushable and we would always tell them obviously not or we wouldnt have this issue. We had a big sewer auger prolly like 100pounds and it would take us forever to cut the wipes out of the cable.** If you have brand new pipes with no burrs you might be okay but those wipes will catch on anything, not to mention we had old crusty/rusty cast iron drain pipes.

OMG... My father used wipes and laughed at us for installing bidets in our home. Right after he died his town had an emergency in their sewer system as everyone in town was using wipes and it wiped out (pun intended) their sewer system - which they had to shut down for almost a week while it was cleared. We just put in a new septic system - and I now have small signs in the bathrooms advising our guests what the rules are...along with bidets everywhere... =)

In city sewage there are big muffle monsters that chop up the wipes …underwear does clog them up once in a while …I’ve seen sweaters clogged ..I’ve seen some crazy shit flushed …toilet gold baby 🤑🫡

Bidets are nasty I'd much rather ruin the sewage. Water that sprayed on other people's shit covered assholes, dries and pools on the sprayer which transfers it to your asshole. No thank you I'll stick to wipes

I just learned that recently at my building when our drain pipes were backing up. Our plumber guy told us those wipes don’t break down at all. That had to run one of those gigantic snakes to get it loosen. Told the staff that dude wipes are no longer allowed.

Just imagine having to walk through this and having to use your boots to break it up enough to go up the suction tube. I used to clean out city sewage pump stations to prep then to be refurbished. I have been on grease layers so thick I could walk to them.

Same with TP. Some septic safe types are not so great. I tested a few like Scotts, Cottenelle and Charmin. Work pretty good simce get wet they almost dossolve..Others wont dissolve and may break up but takes a while like off brand types.. If using wipes there are ones like cottenelle that will nreak ip very easily. I switched to bidet 2 years ago. Family swears they dont ise anything but I found a cleaning towelette flushed. How? I was working kn my new panel and floats so cleaned the bio filter and checked out the crap tank. Decent scum layer so broke ot up and 2 large xhuns were stick together somehow. Foshed out and pit in nicket woth water. Sure enough a rather cloth like towlette, not a dis wipe but actually a dosposable firniture wipe. Seriously? someone fliushed that?

In Texas you are required to have your aerobic septic system inspected every 4 months. Looks like the service company is not doing a good job. We have a system that was not taken care of by the provider and the drain field had problems. We got a good guy to service the system and he was able to get it working again.

You need a Mercury outboard motor and just hang it on the side, that will bust up the sludge and all you have to do is keep gas 8n it and operate the throttle. Great videos, watch all the videos you make. Thanks

If you are wondering why they dont just stick the tube in the water and let it work. The way a suction truck works, it needs to keep suction and if the pipe gets full of water it will lose suction and not do anything. You can suck up a lot with this system but it has to be able to suck air along with the water to work effectively.

I was working on a sewer project in about 1972 and the city sewer guy asked me about one particular manhole, if it was plugged. I told him no, and he told me he had previously had repeated stoppages there. Finally he took all the "flushables" in a bucket to the door. Apparently that solved the problem. That so called flushable stuff isn't.

Just because wipes say flushable and septic safe doesn't mean they are. My brothers has been in the water industry for over 35 years and always says not to flush anything if you want your system to work properly.

15:57 I live in Maine and have had my tank emptied twice and even though I’ve paid for the tank to be completely emptied they have never rinsed the tank. When I asked about the 6 inches of sludge at the bottom they say we leave that so the tank has the bacteria already started to start dissolving new waste. I’ve used 2different companies so far and after research and watch this channel and others I say clean/empty the tank completely. They don’t want to tho. I don’t get it when I pay for a service I should get the empty tank like you do, especially when I pay for an empty tank. Am I wrong? My tank is a single tank.

It's not sourdough bread. It's poop. And poop always brings more bacteria with it. Between that, and what's left on the walls of the tank (since you aren't scrubbing and disinfecting) is more than enough to get the system going again.

Wow, just Wow. I use flushable wipes for poo, my husband asks if I really need to wipe my bum with chemicals, what’s wrong with soap and water if I need it considering I always have liquid soap for sensitive areas in a lovely jasmine fragrance. He says I’m crazy and for 30 years of marriage I never used flushable wipes and then all of a sudden I believe the hype. 🤣

Flushable wipe companies have been sued to the moon and back, and lost almost every case. If a wipe says it’s flushable now, it is flushable. These are probably baby wipes.
