He looks demented like because he really was as a human He went too deep for the role not saying I don’t watch this and am like holy crap but in reality let’s be frank this movie role had he not done it I think he still be alive am I wrong? Regardless legendary yups! His eyes has you feel the words he saying this scene is actually very deep cuz it’s practical for a killer us like the dude on the wall he’s talking to isn’t a murderer so has no idea what people go thru their last few moments prolly
What made heath ledger the best joker in history was the way he expressed things. Look at those subtle pitch variations, facial expressions, hysterical laughs, those awe inspiring walks. Everything is in complete chaos . Just perfect. That's that. Rip dear brother
Chaos? Don't let him fool you! He is in complete control 🃏👑 He understood the character so well he manages to make all those tiny details look chaotic, but obviously all is deliberated, he was *such* an actor...!
@@incogneeto9122 I'll rephrase.. a big part of why he was able to act psycho like normal was because he was lacking sleep.. he didn't sleep for days at a time
@@marchionessamoretto7326 if he's aware that he'll be a legend even after his death, probably be grateful, everything you said might make a great point.
The look Joker gives after asking “would you like to know which one of them were cowards” is pure genius. You really feel this guy is menacing as hell.
@@GrubKiller436 eh the end of the movie stank and the joker was easily caught. Surprised it didn't happen sooner. The whole barge scheme was also boring. Boring joker ever.
It's chilling to think about how calculated and malicious he must have been to speak so calmly about such heinous acts. It shows a level of control and manipulation that is truly terrifying. It's a reminder of how dangerous and deceptive some individuals can be, and serves as a warning to always be cautious and aware of those around us.
They need to add best batman villain ever category, that should solve it. Although it might start a religious war in the future if anyone would ever match this performance.
AGREED! He would undoubtedly have won a stack of them if he hadn't passed away so young. So your suggestion is quite a reasonable idea. Heck, I'd even start watching the academy award show every year, if they did that.
@@trynalearnpiano315 joker’s entire character is that anyone can be him all it takes is one bad day, despite being criminally insane he’s actually got a good perception on how civilization works. Instead of seeing himself as a monster like a normal person would he sees himself as “ahead of the curve” because he’s realized what the rest of humanity refuses to see, we’re all fckn monsters and at anytime with just one bad day you can end up seeing all his points on why evil is a necessity as good points.. also this is why joker can’t truly die, Joker is an idea of necessary anarchy, not exactly a person
@@user-sr1pp7sv9q no, Joaquin did a great job but if I had to choose between a 2nd Joaquin and a 2nd heath ledger movie, it would be heath by a landslide. Doesn’t even need to be joker. I couldn’t name a single show/movie Joaquin had been in other than joker but I def could for heath.
@GoldenMushroom64 Are you called GoldenMushroom cause you're kept in the corner in the dark & fed bullshit, or is it the whole micro penis thing? Actually don't tell me, I like to believe it's both & more 🤏🍄
Okay @American π the reason I made this comment was for the darker point of the video short"people show you who they truly are in their final moments" aspect. Not whatever you thought
@@dwaynejohnnson4580 the never said I reveals how they lived he said they show you who they really are, maybe even something they've never shown before. But I guess you wouldn't understand if you didn't even listen to what was said 🤯
One of the best ever company performances in the history of Hollywood. What an incredibly tragic end to a monumental character role that will never be forgotten.
The loss of such a talented actor is truly devastating. Their work will live on forever through their iconic performances, and the impact they had on the entertainment industry will never be forgotten. Rest in peace to a true legend.
Joaquin was a great actor. But honestly that could've been a unique standalone movie dealing with mental illness and its own messages and not necessarily have to be a Joker character. Heath Ledger was actually a Joker. A character with some real unraveled bloodthirst and had the intelligence to chase it. Nothing he did was sensibly justified in any way besides the fact that chaos favors no one.
Joaquin lost half his mind for an idie role that was basically this and no one gave a shit lol let's be real, if it wasn't a joker film no one would've seen it
You are absolutely right. Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker in "The Dark Knight" was truly one-of-a-kind and a performance that will always be remembered. Rest in peace, Heath Ledger.
@mariaranjan8779 Probably because he’s not acting he actually broke himself to play the Joker (who is a broken man two) spending so much time in isolation broke him. May he R.I.P ❤️
You say this like you know through experience hahahaha. You have no god damn clue whether he's right or wrong. You've probably never even seen someone unexpectedly die, let alone killed someone yourself.
@@safcjoe7062 some villains do know what they do is bad, but for maniacs like Joker, I do not think they give a damn about what is wrong or right. To them, achieving the objective is more important than morality. The best thing is I seen bits of Joker inside of people and that includes me, of course.
The storytelling here is off the charts. The delivery of the lines. The pausing. The eyes looking at the cop. The cop showing hidden signs of hatred and aggression. The lead up to the last line is perfect. The last line is clearly a logical way to get under someone’s skin like it does with the cop. No self respecting person would not act in that moment. Which is where the audience gets to relate with the scene in such a way that you forget for a moment, you like the Joker, but you root for the cop to act in that moment. It’s so good. It’s beyond perfect.
That was definitely a bold move! It's clear that he was trying to assert his authority and show that he wasn't intimidated by the Joker. It's always interesting to see how characters in movies, especially law enforcement officers, handle themselves in intense situations like that.
@@inso80nahhhhhhh Just cuz you're inspired by director riders or probably involving that number bro no never. This guy took it to another level that you and I are not there
@@exterMEnator83I can assure you that what you just said is nonsensical idiotic hyperbole. There is nothing remarkable or difficult about this performance. You seem to forget that writing is HALF of the entertainment value. Give this Joker a bad script, and nobody would give a DAMN about his acting
tbh the reason he did so good is he broke himself for the role not many people are equipped for the isolation he put himself through so i imagine if something traumatic happened after finishing the dark knight he probs emotionally fragile already. such a shame he was a great actor
@@lordsathariel4384don’t do that. his own family said he was never happier than when he was making this movie. he did not go insane for this role in fact he was depressed once he was done playing it. let him rip truthfully
Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight was truly iconic and will always be remembered as one of the greatest performances in cinema history. It was a tragic loss and he will always be missed. Rest in peace, Heath Ledger.
Actually truth was heath had insomnia and was working non stop while still in isolation during movie cept for one sister he doing this and another movie at night as well working regular job for steady check cus movies don't pay right away and needed get some sleep as well deal major headache and he just took handful pain meds sleep meds all diff kinds and didnt really listen jack Nicholson warning about being careful pills so he took meds didn't mix he never had issue role or isolation it was just he had way too many diff kinds pills one bag and one day wasn't cautiousIwhat he took and od
There is no way that H.L Joker will ever be topped. The way he delivers every single line and his performance are just past mind blowing! R.I.P! A true legend!
still be here if he didnt have doctors in different countries prescribing him different meds but not communicating with each other. :( Gone far to soon.
The eye contact is the magical part. The ebbs and flows how they are backing up his words...and also foreshadowing his genius hits straight to the heart of the cop guarding him, that ultimately lured him in right where Joker wanted him. #Magical
A staggering performance that really conveys the agent of chaos that the joker is. There is no possibility of anyone encompassing it better than ledger did
He went all the way up to the space and set an unreachable bar.. I don’t see someone doing a better acting like this one.. it blows my mind every time I watch this movie.
I agree, his performance in that movie was truly phenomenal. It's truly impressive how he was able to bring such depth and emotion to his character. It's definitely a performance that will be remembered for years to come.
@@GwRahulyT143 The dark knight but you should watch batman begins first the order of the trilogy is batman begins, the dark knight and the dark knight rises
R.I.P Heath Ledger the Legend, I love the bit before this aswel when joker asks him Joker: “How many grinds of yours did I kill” Billy Bob: “you killed six of my friends” Joker: (whispers) six 😂😂😂 always get me
Health ledger was soo fucking phenomenal haven’t seen a performance as good as his it’s truly unbelievable how well he portrayed the joker nothing comes close tbh an his delivery when saying “do you want to know which of them were cowards” is intimidating af RIP TO A LEGEND ❤️❤️
On top of the delivery, the mannerisms, the eyes alone, I still cannot force myself to see Heath under the makeup, i could easily believe it wasnt him, truly a masterful performance.
Heath Ledger locked himself in a hotel room for a month just to do this role. He actually scared the other actors because he was so in character. Even when they weren't filming. Best joker ever. Rest In Peace Heath
This is the first time I understood the villain. Was it crazy and barbaric? Probably. But some of shit he says holds true even in reality. His scene with dent in the hospital is my favorite.
Its not that there isnt some truth in what he says, its that he embraces the worst parts of people, the chaotic parts, rather than trying to bring about good
Everything he tells to Dent (and probably throughout the entire movie) is lies to manipulate. He schemes better than anyone, but he says he is not a schemer. He says it is chance the fair path in chaos, but he intentionally created the chaos in Dent's life by kidnaping him and Rachel, and later telling Batman the addresses backwards. He holds the gun to his head, but he places the finger between the hammer and the barrel, se he doesn't put his life on the line. I think the only truth he says in the entire movie, is that Batman would bring the banker back from Hong Kong.
That's what's so crazy about the joker character that Heath brought out.... Even though he's a bad guy some of his reasoning is spot on. There's no clear black and white there's a lot of shades of Gray.
A lot of the Joker comes from the fact that he's a narcissist and thinks he's in the right. He created a plan to cause chaos in Gotham while explaining how he hates people who plan things, schemers.
@@guardiangroundhogj6297 na he's unpredictable and trusts no one and that's why he's different and dangerous. He's not a schemer, the Joker is an agent of anarchy. Although extreme, his methods are fair as everyone fights for themselves in a world ruled by his ideals.
I took a few acting classes, and what I feel is so amazing, every time I see Heath Ledger in his role as the Joker, are the words that we hear him speaking are simply words printed on a script! He probably table-read his lines several times with other actors, but it’s the Heath Ledger effect: him studying HOW a deranged person, such as the Joker would carry himself as he said his lines, that we praise, every time we see snippets like this! He made the words and the persona of Joker larger than just “typed words” on a script page!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🏆💯🔥
