Hey hun! I've been using local Print shops - they've got bigger scanners. Also you could go to a university that has a print shop - they also tend to have bigger scanners (really high-quality ones too!)

Rotary cutters are great but mine scares the heck out of me. I keep it locked away so I don't accidentally injure myself while rummaging through tools. My aunt was sent to the hospital after an event with a rotary cutter😟 She was ok... just lots of stitches!

A trick I've learnt from quilters re: using rotary cutters: Use one of those suction handles from the mobility aid/bathroom areas of a hardware store to press down on the ruler. Keeps your hands up out of the way so you can't cut them, and better visibility.

You can use your rotary cutter to cut big sheets of tissue paper down to size if you decide to switch to that over crink :D 🥰 xxx

@ 1:35 I think I saw that scanner in one of your previous videos and searched it out and bought it for that reason. It is _AMAZING._ My family is using it to scan our old family photos (talking 1800s or so).

Always retract the blade when you aren't cutting!! You can get cut really badly if you don't! My mom's number 1 rule for the rotary cutter

I do some leather work and my rotary cutter is my love. It makes everything easier. My only recomendation is that you use a metal ruler, it's a lot more sturdy and will protect you against accidents as they have anti slip thingies so you don't to put so much force on it. Anyway, just use the same precautions as when using any sharp object.

Love the vinyl print. It looks so good I may order one 😁 If your mats are self healing, you can pu them in your oven for a short amount of time and they will flatten out. Just keep an eye on it so it doesn't melt. 🙃 Don't ask me how i know. 😊

Speaking of images too big to scan I created a hack years ago. I clip oversize images to a large poster board, place on an easel, and take a photo using a camera - tripod mounted (I only use natural light). I trigger my camera with a remote. Any adjustments if needed can be made in post with photoshop. Necessity is the mother of invention!

I have 2 rotary cutters. One for fabric and one for paper/other. When I cut on the floor like that I put the ruler lengthwise away from me. I put my knee on the closest end and my non-cutting hand in the middle. Then I just slice away from my body. If that makes sense...Edited to add: and then I kept watching and you did it how I do. :)

Hi! I use a glass mirror as a cutting Matt. You can find them super cheap and big at thrift stores and it works great for me

Im late and thi probably wont be seen but sewer here! i was taught in uni that when cutting with a rotary cuttter its best to use a metal ruler. the cutter will slowly carve away at plastic ones and then it wont be so straight anymore

If I need a ribbon bookmark in a notebook that doesn't have one I just cut the size ribbon I need and washi tape one end in the back of the notebook. That way I can easily remove it when archiving notebooks.

For the ruler if you have an aluminum T Square used normally for drywall construction. Really love your hair, falls so gently. Did you at one point have phone case designs on Redbubble??? Do you still put the designs of your shop items out on other formats for other types of merchandise????

If you were using your new big ruler to cut fabric I'd put those tiny sand paper stickers on the back of it to prevent it from slipping. You can get tiny ones in the sewing section I think. But since you are cutting vinyl posters the sand paper might scratch it. Which is not good.

You can hire a photographer to take professional photos of your larger pieces! If you want to do it yourself, you can use a pancake lens the distortion will be minimal

Would a duplicated, lower-opacity layer on top with a gaussian blur help with the texture? I know that's a technique for photography.

That's kind of the effect it did have. It's a shame to lose detail though. I want the paint to look like paint.

I recon the cat print would be a good dac diamond painting I call it cats knocking over jug and playing with water I love the prints but for you to cut em yourself hmm I’d love the cat design on washi tape U know what I love about your cat jug design is it reminds me of A stamp I can imagine a circuit blank sublimation Stubby holder with the cat jug design for me to drink out of and I can imagine Christian drinking a stubby holder of your cat jug design I love this design so so much Lol from Kate last

Forgive me if anyone already commented this, but I suggest when you use the rotary cutter you cut away from your body, not side to side. It's so much safer and comfortable.
