I’ve seen with perfume reviewers that they have to preface to their viewers that it’s okay to change your mind of scents. I’ll never get why people get mad when someone changes their mind on a scent. Funny as with all the BBW sales, based on your praising I did pick up 4 Book Loft candles - burned twice with hardly any smell.... now I know have to get through the "hate burn" to get performance. lol Thanks again Kent!!
This was the most fun little story! You must've died when you saw all those 75% off candles, lol! A similar thing happened to me during Winter 2022 SAS when we were vacationing in the mountains of Colorado, a random BBW full of 75% off fall candles. Whack A$$ strip malls for the win!
How dare you not like Palo Santo 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 That’s ok lol. I love that our scent preferences are complimentary, not uniform. I think Palo Santo is just a much better wood basic for BBW than Mahogany Teakwood. We’ve entered a new era, i.e. we need to stop seeing new Mahogany blends. It’s over. Palo Santo is the new second-generation wood-base.
I was thrilled with 1 Strawberry Snowflakes candle at 75% off! My store had others, but that made me giddy on the inside 😅. Did you find any Main Street Bakery in your travels?
Yes! I love the new gingham glow! I smelled it in store yesterday... i didnt buy it or the hand cream but i will be buying it when the line comes out and yes the candle omg cant wait!!!
Hey don’t you think A LOT of BBW candles have been appreciably picking up strength/throw as they burn for hours?! I conjectured recently that they may be trying out a new wax formula with more soy in it. Soy has to be burned pretty long to put out fragrance. It needs to get to a high heat level. First Sight burned exactly like that too.

It’s like you found Candle Heaven! I love those stores in rundown malls because they do usually have the best selection. Our rundown mall finally closed, so I don’t have their BBW as a resource anymore. I also recently found Coffee & Candles and love her channel. Like you, she gives a very in-depth and informed review of candles. I’ve recently started craving fresh and aquatic candles, which I never have before. I’m usually a gourmand lover only. I guess it’s the hot summer weather. Love the haul, so glad you found more Book Loft. You showed incredible restraint.
I purchased whipped coconut milkshake and i will be exchanging bwc is great as usual no complaints on that one i can smell it for hours after blowing it out!
I have a store like this in my city that I discovered last SAS. Sure enough when I went this time they had heaps of 75% off Xmas candles two huge tables full. They had everything you mentioned besides Pure Wonder and Luminous. I practised restraint as well because I could’ve went ham. I only got Winter Candy Apple since I had never tried that one and it smelled so good. My Plumeria and Sugared Lemon Zest Candle was pretty strong and the only one I really liked from SAS. Debating whether I need a backup or not. Also loved Gingam Glow can’t wait to try the 3 wick.
I definitely would have picked up the Mahogany Balsam, Mountain Teakwood, Winter Pear Forest, Woodlands, Birchwood Orchard, Vanilla Birch and Vanilla Balsam, Under the Christmas tree (my favorite Christmas scent) and definitely the raspberry thumbprint candle. I saw Book Loft but it was on the 50% rack at the location I went to.

LOL, I think it's for the days where I just have things that need to get done and just need something in the background. So chores around the house or even a WFH day.

Kent our noses are aligned. I stocked up on Greenhouse Fern and Crystal Blue Coast a while back . Super appealing! Where do you live? You may not want to divulge your secret stores lol. I get it.
If I was in those treasure stores, I’d definitely try to stick to 6 candles of my faves. But I’d also pick up a couple Crushed Candy Cane bc it’s my fave bedroom winter ambiance candle. Light but slightly sweet, chalky, Christmas candy cane vibes

I’ve bought BBW candles for years and still own about 40 of them. To be honest, they bore me anymore. The two I bought in the last year were scentless so I’ve quit buying. They don’t make money off me anymore so the fact that they have a surplus doesn’t surprise me.
I’m so excited I got the cloud collection, the block party collection, and strawberry pound cake in the mist! Debating which one I should get a full set in!
Luminous is the single solitary candle I've been holding out hope for this SAS. I'm a little heartbroken that it never crossed my path, but my heart is genuinely happy to hear that one still exists out there in an actual store! Congrats on the amazing finds, Kent. Enjoy them! 🎉
