Before i listened to summrs. I was fat, broke, stupid, overall a loser who was losing their hope. I had no role models. Nobody to look up to, but when i first listened to one of his albums, my whole life turned around, All the women who never bat an eye were all over me now, My dad finally acknowledged me as his son for the first time in 10 years. Thank you summrs, You are my inspiration, and without you. i wouldn’t be in the position I currently am.
Before listening to summrs, i was hopeless, i was depressed, i had no paths, but when i first listened to one of his songs, my whole life turned 180°, all the girls we're flirting with me, my dad came back home after 17 years, thank you again summrs, you are my inspiration, your songs make me go berserk every morning and every night.
When I open Spotify in the morning, I have many options regarding which song or album to choose. Usually, I will pick a different song every day, but one song has been on my mind in particular recently. And after deep contemplation, I have determined “so much cheese” by Deante Adam Johnson, otherwise known as “Summrs”, to be the most exquisite song in the time of the earth’s existence. Such a timeless masterpiece deserves to be heard by the entire world, and I hope to convince you, the reader, to listen to this superb piece. The song “so much cheese” by Summrs is the greatest song of all time due to the beat and vocals, lyrics, and music video. In order to be a song, there must be a melody, which many times is in the form of an instrumental. “So much cheese” does not shy away from the instrumental aspect of music, and has a marvelous beat in the background. From the beginning of the song, the intense bass and digital-sounding instrumental takes you on a journey of emotions and musical understanding. The digital sound of the beat gives the song a futuristic feel akin to the fact that we now live in the twenty-first century. It is an instrumental that would make the founding fathers of music blush if they were alive today. In addition, the digital sound of the song is slightly harsh, which can be heard clearly in the last twenty seconds of the track, giving the song a “hard” feeling that is felt with many hype rap songs. Adding to this “hard” feeling is Summrs’ voice, which can sound even slightly aggressive at times. This is an appropriate feel for this song, as Summrs is rapping about money, drugs and clout. Summrs’ voice is perfectly mixed with the instrumental in this song, giving the song the perfect yin and yang balance. Summrs’ unique voice aids him on this unique beat as well, allowing him to stand out amongst the crowd of rappers in the twenty-first century. In addition, Summrs is able to hit every note with grace and success, making “so much cheese” a delight to the ears. Mr. Johnson adds ad-libs after each line as well, to make sure the true gravity and meaning of the song are conveyed to the listener. However, what I believe truly makes the vocals fantastic in the song are the background vocals in the first fifty-six seconds of the song. Such an ethereal and beautiful sound emerges from Deante Adam Johnson’s vocal chords during this exquisite fifty-six seconds, one would think that they are ascending to the astral plane. The background vocals blend beautifully with the song like a banana blends with a smoothie. Overall, the vocals on “so much cheese” are second to none and give Summrs a wonderful layer to his masterpiece. A song can have wonderful vocals, but if the lyrics are not successful, the song will also struggle to flourish in the world of music. However, this is not an issue for Mr. Johnson, as he is able to achieve such magnificent lyrics on “so much cheese” that even the likes of Bach and Beethoven would be impressed. Summrs starts the song with the line, “Who these n***** wanna be? They wanna be me”, which I believe to be a very accurate statement after listening to the magnificence of the song. Next, Summrs repeats that he has “so much fuckin cheese”, which as seen on his Instagram and RU-vid, appears to be an accurate statement. The word “cheese” is an interesting choice that makes the jaw of listeners fall to the floor with awe, as many musicians do not choose to use the word “cheese” in reference to money. This kind of creativity really allows Deante Adam Johnson to stand out amongst the crowd. One line Mr. Johnson repeats throughout the song is that his “pockets” are “looking obese”. While this level of wordplay may confuse a listener at first, it is to be understood as this: the sheer amount of money in Deante’s pockets makes them look obese. This is yet another wonderful like from Deante Adam Johnson to be remembered. A line in the first verse states that “Kan just went SRT, he can’t control that bitch he shoulda bought him a fuckin Jeep”, which is very true, as fellow rapper KANKAN, otherwise known as Keandrian Qynzel Jones, almost crashed his SRT on an Instagram Live video. Two lines later, Mr. Johnson says one of my favorite lines on the song, “Glock 27 got a fuckin… can’t say it on this bitch but the way that bitch sound it’s a glitch”. This line is particularly interesting because Deante does not say the word he is referring to for legal reasons, but you are able to infer that the word is “switch” based on the rhyming word “glitch” on the next line. This level of lyricism is unmatched in musical history and should be studied in universities across the world. After some more braggadocious lines, Summrs switches up his flow with the line “my cup cost a n**** rent, literally, look at my mufuckin jacket that bitch came from Italy”, which is a wonderful switch up of the flow giving the song more depth. To add to this depth, Summrs is known for drinking lean in his cup, which would in fact cost someone’s rent. Summrs then gives us a glimpse of his emotional side with the line “cut off that bitch two years ago I know that that bitch missin me”, which shows that he has the emotional maturity to better himself and be someone that his previous partners would want back in their lives. Another one of my favorite lines comes two lines later, where Deante Adam Johnson says “I’m high on the mufuckin holidays, I’m off of that Christmas tree”. This is an immaculate display of lyricism. The common drug marijuana is sometimes referred to in certain cultures as “tree”, and since Mr. Johnson said that he was high on the holidays, it would be implied that the time of year is around Christmas. Musicians such as Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran should be worried for their careers after hearing this line from Deante Adam Johnson. Mr. Johnson then gives the listener a glimpse of his faith, as he says that he is “chillin with God”, which would imply that Mr. Johnson is a man of God, which is also clearly displayed in his lifestyle choices and lyrics. Summrs then reiterates that he has “so much fuckin cheese”, which, as a reminder, refers to his financial position rather than his affection towards a cultured dairy product. It is unclear at this time whether Summrs does have an affection towards the dairy product “cheese”, but perhaps this will be determined at a later date. The final line of the song is also my final favorite lyric, which states that “I don’t sip red… I’m lyin, I do, my stupid ass had to catch my head”. This ability to self-reflect and admit fault in such a short span of time proves that Deante Adam Johnson is truly an emotionally mature human being and should be revered by his peers as well as other members of society. These are only a few examples of some of the complex and wonderful lyrics this song has to offer, and it is important that every member of society listens to “so much cheese” in order to truly grasp the significance of the song in today’s society. No song is complete without a wonderful accompanying music video, and the music video for “so much cheese” is an artistic masterpiece that is a wonder for the eyes to behold. In this glorious video, Deante Adam Johnson wears both a RR (really rich) hoodie made by Keandrian Qynzel Jones, an Amiri shirt made by Amiri, and an Amiri hoodie made by Amiri. He wears an iconic YSL beanie, which assists with the song’s message of expensive tastes as well as complimenting his look. For most of the video, Mr. Johnson holds a styrofoam cup of lean, reflecting some of the values Deante shares in his lyrics. Johnson is accompanied by artists Keandrian Qynzel Jones and Jace Lavoer Salter, although the latter has recently unfortunately committed the grevious act of snitching against Mr. Johnson. The video follows Mr. Johnson sitting and standing in different locations of a car and a city apartment, presumably his home, with his friends as he raps the lyrics to “so much cheese”. Mr. Jones and Mr. Salter are both seen flaunting their firearms, which adds to the braggadocious nature of the song as well. It is splendid to see Mr. Johnson and his acquaintances displaying such great demonstrations of friendship in this video. It is clear that everyone involved in this video is excited to be apart of such a masterpiece. The video is also filmed by Keandrian Qynzel Jones, which adds to the atmosphere and genuinity of the video. The music video is fast-paced as well, complimenting the fast pace and atmosphere of the song. It is safe to say that Mr. Johnson has created an irreplaceable piece of art with this video, adding another wonderful aspect to this great piece from Summrs. Overall, it is immaculate what Deante Adam Johnson is able to accomplish musically in a mere two minutes and fifty-eight seconds. The beat is truly an orchestra of pleasure for the ears, and the enchanting vocals give the song a wonderful feel. This is coupled with the marvelous lyrics that can be pondered upon for weeks, months and years. To put the icing on the cake, the music video for the song is a treat for the eyes to behold. This song will be looked upon as musical influence for generations, and it is splendid that Mr. Johnson could create such a work. I am thrilled to see what Mr. Johnson has to present us musically in the future.
Summrs is the kind of success story that encourages me as a underground artist with a small following. Seeing how he’s developed his skills and slowly blown up after seizing each and every opportunity he’s been giving has been inspirational! Mans has quickly become a mainstay in the industry and for good reason. Dude is too nice! I know if I put in the work, I can reach a larger audience some day too, but for now, I’m happy being a supporter. My turn will come too. Salute to Summrs🔥
I am literally crying, shaking, screaming, and throwing up right now. How could I save money and put 500k in a 401k for years when I could have just spent it on an srt and wock. I sold my family home where my infant and my pregnant wife lived. She asked me “how could you do this??”. I told her I am finna go ap skelly……….. then I proceeded to beat the ever living shit out of her cause my lean withdraws(we lost the baby 💀). Thank you father adams for showing me the light 🙏🏾.
