SO MUCH DEPTH! Character Teaser - "Arlecchino: Sleep in Peace" REACTION | Genshin Impact 

Arlecchino just crushed that guy's head and the blood even splashed onto her face. WILD!

Even sound design in this one is step above (heh) previous teasers too: after killing Tartuffe, you can hear her footsteps squelching, but just on the one foot she used to crush his head. Also: it is definitely a girl who passed away, since girls get surname 'Snezhevna' and guys get 'Snezhevich' in House of the Hearth.

Warning: it's gonna be a long comment, the TL;DR is that they portrayed her very well as a caring and strict parent, despite not being the orphans' actual father. I find it interesting that they chose "Tartuffe" as the name of the hypocrite, considering it might be a reference to "Tartuffe" by Moliere, a theatre piece, who denounced people who are, coincidentally, hypocrites. Now, there's another thing I find interesting in Arlecchino's portrayal: that is "why does she put her children through missions and such?". While it is true that the world is a cruel place and you gotta do everything you can to survive, however, my theory is that "that's how Arlecchino grew up, she knows no better". In her eyes, that's how a parent treats their children, it may seem cruel to people who led a normal/good life, but to those without anything left in the world, being given a purpose is what makes them push forward. Now, what happens if someone fails their mission? This is where the difference between Arlecchino and her mother stands. Her mother "cared" for her children, but I think that at some point she either gave up on them, or became numb to either losing them or something else (I got too little information on her to give my thoughts). Arlecchino, on the other hand, doesn't give up on them, instead she goes and tries to fix whatever they couldn't do properly. Because, ironically, that's what a parent tends to do, they let their child do something, and if it's too much to bear, they will take it upon themselves to finish the job (emphasis on "finish" and not "redo", because the struggles their children have faced isn't something that must be stepped on and ridiculed). I don't think I need to remind how much she cares for her children, because it's apparent from how much they respect her, even if sometimes they might question her methods. And to quote a great man: Why did you make those decisions? (-for the good of my family-) then they weren't bad decisions. What does a man (father) do? A man provides for his family. When you have children, you always have family, they will be your priority, your responsibility. And a man, a man provides. And he does it even when he's not appreciated, or respected, or even loved. He simply bears up and he does it... Because he's a man." - Gus from Breaking Bad. So all in all, Arlecchino stays coherent to everything she thinks and does: prioritize her family's well being, even at the cost of others' lives. That's why I think they did a very good job in writing her. I could talk more about other bits and pieces here and there, but it would turn into an essay at that point. Harbingers might have a more tragic backstory than most Archons. Some characters in Genshin, I could feel sorry for. Some I could relate to. Some I adore. Arlecchino is the first one I respect. Every patch, I have a growing feeling that we'll end up teaming with the Harbingers and fighting the Archons (who are honor bound to follow Celestia). Will be shocked if we don't see a few Archon and Harbinger deaths. I don't know if you've heard, but Clervie in the other video is canonically the biological daughter of mother. It was mentioned in the Chinese video of the trailer. The injuries Arlecchino tended to for Clervie is heavily implied to be inflicted by the previous Harbinger. Saying she ought to have "pruned" the flowers is a reference to how she should have given up on her own daughter, and ended up sending her daughter with useless qualities of kindness to die by her friend's hand. The video hit even harder knowing that tidbit of info. No wonder "Father" is so emotionally reserved. As this video shows, she isn't unfeeling, and she does truly love her kids. Amazing character. I will C2 her eventually, on par with my top characters of Nahida and Raiden.

An interesting detail: You can hear at 1:02 how clear the heels hit the ground, but at 1:18 they are more muffled and less hard on the ground similar to how wet high heels sound(as if they are wet from the blood ;p).

I think Arlecchino is more of an anti-hero than a villain (kinda like the Stellaron Hunters)
