Come along with me and enjoy everything that the Lunar New Year Festival has to offer at California Adventure! This is my favorite festival that they offer at Disneyland and this year they have even more food options than ever! Not only is there a ton of new food and old favorites to taste, there's also characters in special costumes, Mulan's Lunar New Year Procession, an area to make new year wishes, live entertainment and much more.
I was able to sample lots of food items and I prioritized the menu items that are new for this year. I first tried the Gochujang Elote and Red Spice Fried Chicken Bites from the Red Dragon Spice Traders food booth. New food items for this year include the Quesabirria Eggroll and Coconut Lavender Iced Coffee from Lucky 8 Lantern. I also tried the Mandarin Mousse Cake from this food booth. I tried out the Pepperoni Pizza Bao from Prosperity Bao & Buns and the Bok Choy & Mushroom Dumplings from a new food booth, Wrapped With Love. The Bok Choy & Mushroom Dumplings are a plant-based option.
I met Oswald who is a special character for this year since 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit. I made a wish for everyone and put it on the wishing wall and watched the parade. I also looked at some of the festival merchandise such as the spirit jersey that had come in that day and some Loungefly items.
This is my favorite festival and I had the best day!! I'm so happy that I was able to try so much food and experience so much that the festival has to offer.
