Zeke is very intelligent. The moment Eren didn't catch the baseball, he knew something was up. Because that symbolized them being on the same page. And so, Zeke wanted to believe Eren was on the same page as him, but in the back of his mind, he had doubts. And I like that he didn't have blind faith in Eren but approached the situation cautiously. He loves his brother so much that he's not even mad that he betrayed him. He still wants to help him out. Jaw Titans love sacrificing themselves for Reiner. Zeke with the catch of the year. R.I.P. Colt and Porco. You were both amazing brothers. Also, fun fact, some of the snippets of images before Eren got into the paths were actually cameos from volume extras in the manga. AKA GothKasa and Nerd Armin. Along with one image being the AOT men in a sauna. So that's nice.

Imagine if they had left us off with Eren getting his head shot off as a cliffhanger for Part 1, because they very well could have, and imagine having to wait a year in anticipation after that moment lmao.

Zekes entire baseball career lead up to this single moment. And it really paid off lol

I just love the title of this episode, "two brothers". We see a warrior sacrificing himself for the same man his older brother once saved, a older brother giving up his life just to comfort his little bro and then Zeke and Eren, betraying and fighting each other for their ideals. I feel pretty sad for Zeke tho, he really wanted to make Eren his brother

*Explanation:* From my understanding, Zeke and Eren entered the Paths realm at the same time. While Eren was being rebuilt, Zeke waited for what felt for years. According to him, during this time he learned a lot about the Founder Ymir and how things work in this realm, i.e the fact that she can build anything out of soil and the fact she obeys descendants of the Royal family like they are her masters. Because he reached the Paths realm without being tainted by the First King's ideology (since he didn't inherit the Founding Titan, he just came in contact with it as a Titan of Royal Blood) and by spending a lot of time with the Founder, he managed to render the Vow of Pacifism powerless. It's not precised exactly how. Then, he commanded the Founder Ymir to create fake chains made out of soil in order to trick Eren when he wakes up to see his true colors.

Every manga reader wanted the episode to with Eren loosing his head. We had to wait a month to see if Eren survived

The manga cliffhanger was brutal. It ended with the headshot then we had to wait another month for the next chapter. The theories were wild. People were thinking that Eren was using the Founding Titan to pull an Aizen Sosuke and manipulate everyone on Paradis into thinking that was what happened. The part where they went into the Paths was in the next chapter.

When a head is decapitated it has been noted the head still is alive for around a 4-15 seconds or so until the oxygenated blood is used up in the brain. So if he was grabbed by Zeke with in that time frame he is still alive. Once in the paths world time is irrelevant as years pass inside but anything outside would only be an instant.

What I love about reiner is that he wasn't afraid of being devoured alive to save falco from the fate of being a mindless titan and leaving gabi to be alone. And while porco spit in reiners face one last time reiner screamed for him. Ounce again he had to watch another comrade be eaten alive and to add salt to the wound its the little brother of the boy who saved him ounce and now he's watching him be eaten alive. He couldn't save marcel, he couldn't save annie and bertholdt and now he couldn't save galliard. No wonder he just snaps and punches eren in the face. Who wouldn't?
