🍂 In its simplicity, this poem from Charles Bukowski shines like not other. "So now" is one of the most realest poems he ever wrote, so much that I could feel as if I understand him way better by just reading it. In this video, I wanted to convey the loneliness and nostalgia that the poem made me felt. Using a house as a metaphor for the aging of a man's soul and the passing of the time.

the words have come and gone,
I sit ill.
the phone rings, the cats sleep.
Linda vacuums.
I am waiting to live,
waiting to die.
I wish I could ring in some bravery.
it's a lousy fix
but the tree outside doesn't know:
I watch it moving with the wind
in the late afternoon sun.
there's nothing to declare here,
just a waiting.
each faces it alone.
