Yes even in US/Europe if you order bungkus you're not allowed to dine in. I know it's their rules, but Malaysia is so flexible nobody cares if you dine in or ask to bungkus your leftovers 😅
@@zeevalentine14286Aside from what the video is implying, it's also true that in Japan not all restaurants allow takeaway orders regardless if you dine in or not. Also only certain dishes in the menu you are allowed to take away. Been there and done that too 😅
In Japan they don't do this because they don't want to take any risk or responsibility for food after been takenout.... they need to avoid complain from those 'weird' customers 😢
Recently found this tips when reheat food, 'put small cup of water inside the microwsve along with the food it will avoid some food become hard (especially bread) because when reheat, the microwave will vaporise some water inside the food
Yes it does. I make crunchy bread for soups by heating the white loaf bread in a microwave and it dries out and becomes crunchy. My microwave takes 1 min to do it. And thn the bread becomes so cruchy and crispy.
Welcome to my beautiful country Malaysia 🇲🇾, the home for Malaysian Malay, Malaysian Chinese, Malaysian Indian, Malaysian Sabahan and Malaysian Sarawakian Enjoy in our country ❤
You can always ask for how much rice you want.. either full plate, half or less..the price also can be different for example full plate rice might be rm2 and if you ask for half,rm1.. depends on the restaurant
Breakfast Roti kosong + roti telur or Nasi Lemak Ayam(Chicken) Lunch Rice + Chicken Sambal + Telor Mata Dinner Kedai Tomyam But if you want to watch the game Mamak
Yes, bungkus in every store is a must! I don't think there's even a single restaurant in Malaysia that does not let you bungkus the makanan. I've experienced in Dubai (not Japan though) once. I was really shocked that they didn't let me take-away the food. That's where I for the first time learnt that there's a country in this world that doesn't has bungkus system in their restaurant
maybe next time you can BYOC .. bring your own container😊 .. no food waste and also saving the environment 👍🏻 .. and money coz some places they charge for the container
To Sunami san welcome malaysia please dont heat food inside plastic container with microwave; Many plastic container in malaysia are not safe for this! Please take
Its always like that, when i told the waiter to add a little bit more rice on my plate, i guess they assumed me to be so hungry that they actually put 2 plate worth of rice on it.
I dont understand some other countries that have restaurants that dont allow take-away if you dont finish your food, like we PAID for it, better to take it home rather than waste it all 🤔 unless you’re at a bbq place or sukiyaki or buffet - then, it’s understandable to not allow take away.. my family even brought our own containers for when we didnt finish our abundant meal, even for drinks, too!
Ohhh so it's not a norm to take away unfinished food in Japan? I always did it here. Good to know. Who knows if i went to Japan one day i can avoid creating awkward moments.
suggest you not to heat up the food with the plastic container, a lot of plastic used in many restaurant are not food grade, it's very dodgy for some restaurant. Better put them on a plate and reheat.
