@@Nixter1337 the cage is fine as it is imo. Previously it can slow enemies so a trip and cage combo was too OP. I doubt the will bring the slow cage back with this buff since tripwires are now harder to see cause of the length.
@Draginsmith28 after playing cypher for 2 days after the buff, I can say that while I do agree with the Cam being broken timer reduced, and the cages being buffed as well. The current cypher is, by far, miles better than the old one. Finally no more Raze and Sova breaking your shit and with the trip being longer you can do more difficult to break tripwire setups
@@divat10 sorry I completely messed up what I was trying to say. Teammate damage like grenades shockdarts etc cannot destroy it. But enemies grenades shock darts etc can.
I know you said that these buffs would make cypher really annoying, but I am willing to take the risk of being annoying in order to be more viable on bigger maps
It changed big time imo. Tripwires are now more unpredictable because of the length buff and there are more areas covered which makes the push very hard now. Jett mains will hate Cypher lineups now. I played ranked as soon as the update was up and Cypher mains whooped my ass. I played brim and viper and I can say that playing smoke heroes with Cypher is very good but playing smoke against Cypher however is a nightmare. You really need KAYO if you're up against Cypher. Sova is just bad against Cypher now.
They literally raged on playing against Cypher. I myself am a Cypher main and when the patch was up I played against a fellow Cypher main in ranked and it was really a very hard game with my team losing on an overtime I was really annoyed at myself for tasting my own medicine like I was playing against myself. Right now, Cypher is like the ultimate security guard of any site of any map. My Jett teammate literally raged on that Cypher because when he dashed on sites tripwires always caught him in every round I felt bad. Not to mention, the difference between me and that Cypher of that opposing team was his cage tech. I was really caught off guard not because of the one way tech on site but because of the way he hides on site it was so cringe it made me have a mini heart attack and after that the psyche was so hard it made me shoot any corner cage I'll see but ended up getting killed cuz he's not there. Kudos to those smart Cypher players out there. You made me learn.
@@sssniperangel yeah that's exactly what I'm saying. That tripwire buffs just made the tripwires very hard to find because they got covered by the walls. If I would pick a second duelist for the team that is against Cypher, I'd go with Raze because surely my Jett will die on entry. Yoru, Phoenix and Reyna just can't entry if Cypher is on the site. The cage techs are just so good right now. Imagine if the cages get buffed to 12 seconds? That would be so unfair cuz it would be a long stall plus we all know for a fact that once enemies enter the cage we will know and just spray fire on the cage. It's just too hard to push that way.
its good but one thing you need to think abt is that they are not gonna breake the trip if they can jump over it or crouch under it so you need to do so they cant do non of that
the tripwire is ever so slightly broken, I think they should add a short cooldown after picking it up so that it would potentially handicap his util especially if he's attacker and he's defending the spike alone
Bro the thing is it doesn't matter if you do weirdly disgusting trips... the enemy will never guess it and because the trips are longer, the trips can be even weirder. So i guess the trips just work
but if you're nearby you still hear the jumping sound plus usually everyone looks right in front of them not looking down so they don't see the trip fast enough, more risk more reward
did 5 comps today (gold 2 -3 lobbies ) and out of those 5 matches 2 comps that i Lost today happened to have cyphers that has zero idea what they were doing and (that had NO comms either ) PSA: learn the agent before jumping into comp matches.
I’ve been a cypher main for so long and this FINALLY makes it all worth while! I’m glad he got a buff cause now he’s something people have to pay attention to when in games now. Love the content keep it up!
thank god riot buffed cypher, I'm starting to see more cypher users in games now and that's great. he's so underrated yet is so good if you know how to play him

Bruh....Half of the trapwires in this video could be used in the past too, I mean before the buffs. We just had to find the glitch points. Watch some Peak video, guys if you want to learn cypher. This buff is surely awesome, but the vanilla trapwires back before the buff were also a nightmare to play against. You just had to be creative and tryhard enough to find the places. I welcome the buffs also, but Cypher was never a weak Agent. I can assure everyone here. I playing him since act I.
When I first started my game sense was pretty good but I had horrible aim. Maining Cypher carried me to silver despite having horrible aim. Then chamber came out. I stopped playing Cypher and started my aim train and started to do very well in my silver/gold lobbies. Now Cyphers back with my silver level aim and my big brain Im going to carry myself through gold low elo represent
