I always made sure to save this woman before visiting Micah in jail, because it's perfectly linked together. In my headcanon, Arthur never intended to save Micah but only pass by him after he saved the woman from the wolves and bring her home at Strawberry. 😄
Damn, i genuinely havent run into THIS npc yet. Ive always only encountered the dude on a rock or the dude who gets mauled by 1 wolf that asks for whiskey as he dies
I got this encounter before but ya it ain't often u get this one I get the wolf attack dude more often than not the one that's hard to save in time without having to give him whiskey to help him before he dies
What's up with npc women hinting about Arthur being their saviour with marrying them? "I had everything, now i got nothing. I don't know what i'll do now." vibe. Charlotte is only one that felt normal to me because Arthur found her, taught her how to take care of herself after her husband's death, she thanks for it with serving him food and taking care of things after he passed out. For a game with realism, these have forced hints.
The rarest encounters and it’s only happened to me once during the 15 play throughs is the invisible man that hangs out in West Elizabeth. That will mess with your mind!
I got this one once when the game first came out. I later learned that the rifle she mentions can be acquired if you look for it before you take her home. I never got it though.
I get that one every playthrough, just have to keep reloading and take train to train station in this video. He wll be on the rock across the road from the trapper eventually.
Did this random encounter actually unlocked manual targeting for you before the mission with John, or it can only be unlocked after the mission with John?
950+ hours played and I don’t think I’ve had this encounter yet…although getting launched off your horse trying to get to her is very much relatable. 😂
pains me to see those wolf pelts go to waste. i collect them regardless of perfect or poor condition. i either upgrade or sell them, may be small but they add up. never needed gold bars while playing this game.

I used to do that. I feel like my self confidence rose in real life and I begin to be ok with mistakes I make in video games. Sure I messed up in game, but recovering from it and coming back better is another part of the fun, just like in real life. You can't reload in real life so when I screwed up I'd freeze. By living with mistakes I instead find another way. That's just me though.
this game has many strage encounters and the voice acting of these insignificant random NPCs you get to help are so damn unique. crazy how Rockstar picked the voce actors for this game. I remember how you can help a black lady and ride her back to Lagras. her voice was so damn cute and unique sounding.
Well, I can see why no one wants to do this encounter. Utter waste of time. My boy Arthur is on limited time and you want me to help a lady who wont even give me money?

Noticed that she has a torch in hand. It might not be solely triggered at night, but maybe you can try and see if going at night gives you better odds. We do know that some events are triggered only or more frequently at certian times of the day or night. Ex: there's a escort chance encounter that happens on the border of bayou nwa and roanoke that seems to only be triggered at night. The encounter starts with hearing a man plead for his life from the murfrees, and you have to a women from them. Arthur then talks to her about how her boyfriend was a coward for trying to only save himself instead of her. You drop her off at the general store in annesburge. I have only encountered that one 2 out of 14 playthroughs and I've Only ever encountered it at night...also, it does give a journal entry too and so far is the only chance encounter I've seen to give a journal entry.
