Skeeter's Biological father was a recording artist, too. Media outlets never mention his Biological Father but he was a successful artist in his own right named Ronald Brown. Skeeter was born with music in him from both parents and then that natural gift was enhanced further by being a part of the Winans family.

Greedy, and when he's not employed by someone, and they pay him as an independent contractor, he has a duty to put aside funds for tax purposes on his own. The person who pays him, for example Bad Boy Entertainment, would report their payment to him to the IRS. If the IRS doesn't get the funds from Winans when he files, they know he's being slick. That's how they get caught, thinking they'll pay when the IRS catches up to them. Then, that takes so long to happen, that they think they're getting away with it. That's why the IRS was hitting him up for a bill from many years prior. At that point they audited him from years prior and found even more wrongdoing. They're thinking they'll put the tax money aside with the next check, and then they spend it all again instead.

I was raised by a single mother who NEVER got any aid from child support. It bothered her and hurt sometimes when money was tight but she handled her business. I don't know the situation completely as none of us do but she never put her means above her bank or depended on an outside dime. Now I'm not sure when he stopped child support or what she'd spend it on other than the child's need but just an example $4500 *7 is $31,500. Was anything saved????

It's really disappointing that black people are behind this. I'd just like to ask a question. How is gossiping about this man's personal business along w/his family going to help him? Why is it that we as Americans of Color particularly Black Americans cannot find find the same energy to build each other up as we do in tearing each other down to the ground? This is really awful. Are you dense? 4500 was supposed to come from the father. The mom would also cover other child expenses, including her own. We don't have to have kids to understand that living with any dependent, disabled, child or old, costs more than not having one & only contributing once a month. The primary caretaker contributes DAILY! They clearly shoulder MORE ALONE! What if she fell on hard times, like almost everyone? How is she using the child support to fund her lifestyle? What lifestyle are you funding on 4500 a month when there are 2 of you who need to eat, pay rent, water, electricity, medical bills, taxes, school, child clothes & a bunch of other things? & that was just naming the most basic of necessities of any child/human. Notice I didn't mention toys, day outings/birthdays, haircuts or any other things even though a few toys, birthday cake & haircuts are important when needed? Have you ever taken full responsibility of even a pet & yourself? At the least, a dog or any living thing really

ABSOLUTELY!!! I have one child and his Dad paid child support. However, I never depended on his child support to sustain my household. First of all it wasn't that much anyway and secondly I like to handle my own business. You never know what a person is going to do until they do it...or in this case DON'T do it. Ladies, make sure you can handle your own....child support is essentially what it says...SUPPORT. Don't expect a man to totally sustain you through child support.

Pretty despicable that Mario whilst having the financial means to take care of his own son often didn't, but equally despicable that Janelle spent all that $ 4500 Child support when it's more than many people in America make monthly. It's clear that money wasn't being spent on the child much or they would be spoilt, which would also be on her. Men control access to marriage, women control access to sex. If they both consented to have sex and have the child in or out of wedlock, it's both of their responsibilities to ensure the child is looked after and has a home, food, clothes, healthcare etc. If only one of them consented to have the child (birth control is an easy way to avoid having children, and only the woman can actually choose to have the child as it grows in her body not his. Her body, her choice) then the onus is on her to look after that child because she CHOSE to have the child after having sex with Mario. In our strange Western society , we only hold men accountable for choices made by both men and women as if women have no agency or choice as adults in adult matters. Both of them are despicable for making that poor boy suffer growing up. So let's not play favourites, let's call it like it is. And this is why child support fails so often, because consent is only respected on one side.

Exactly! She only asked for 4500, then reduced it to 2500. Clearly she just needed someone to cover daycare or after school activities with that money & maybe the kid's school lunch, whilst she covers most of the other basic, daily necessities & school trips, birthdays, haircuts etc, since he never did any of that for the kid. Any person who doesn't live with a dependent pisses me off, since they have to be there around the clock. But someone else only foots a 3rd or quarter of the entire cost of living with a dependent, whether its a child, older parent, sibling or disabled person & thinks they've done enough.

The Winans family really didn't deal too tough with him because he went secular from jump and didn't follow the gospel path plus the fact that his mother married into the family after one failed marriage which produced him AND the messy ass divorce from Marvin. Old school folks know the Winans were mad with her for keeping their name, especially after she married again after Marvin. So his entire career is based off name association alone. I'm not surprised he messy.

@@tonytaylor8313 first off child support want their money you just not going to walk in with a promise to pay letter and it's all good . They will suspend your license and or lock you up . Yes you can set up a payment plan with the IRS but there will be interests rates applied same thing with child support however child support will give you the run around and drag you in and out of court in order to obtain a modification and in most cases will take a great lawyer and if you owe money you will have to pay that to get the modification

I had the pleasure of meeting him when he was making I don't want to know in Tampa. I met him at my job and had no idea who he was. We talked for nearly 2 hours about life. He definitely has been through a lot and has a lot to offer people bc he has lived it and made something of his life. I always wondered what had become of him since I don't wanna know. Now I guess I know. I pray that he gets himself together and and is able to put this behind him. It would be a shame to let all that talent go to waste. Every problem has a solution. Hopefully he finds a solution sooner than later. It wasn't right that he cheated. But who are we to bash him or judge? Sometimes good people do bad things. It's what we do afterwards. You must remember, many women will try and trap a man by having a baby, especially if they think they will reap the benefits of doing so. I feel Janelle had a choice not to get pregnant if she really wanted to. He may not have been protecting them but she surely could have. I know for a fact that most "white women" (and some of color) will deliberately get pregnant just to collect the money and when they don't, they sue. I had two young white coworkers tell me back in the day, when I was 30, to sleep with this pro basketball player who was pursuing me. I was not attracted to him at all. Their exact words were " put a bag over his head, get pregnant and be set for life". NOT!! I feel if you lay down and decide to have a baby, you best be in a position to take care of you and your child. Otherwise, you see how many lives can be destroyed.
