From the bridgerton podcast, Tom Verica talking about how he spontaneously told Luke and Nicola to dance in an empty room before everyone else came in. “They were like 'oh my god!' and it fed the actors and their stories and layers of emotions they hadn't rehearsed, and they just let themselves go at that moment."
Oh even without rehearsal, their spontaneous chemistry is on another level.
