I saw another one of his videos where he talked about how a drought baked the ground and the water wasn't absorbing. A 2 month long dry spell is a drought there. For context, there was a big debate around whether the drought here actually ended or not in 2018, after it began four or five years prior.
My 4 year old daughter Love's to watch your videos with me, she askes to watch drains, and when we are watching she says "mommy watch watch, there it goes" and then she says, " poof it's gone 😁"
Or in good nick - if the pipe is rotting/collapsing then it doesn't matter how well unclogged it is. It astounds me that they don't use some kind of standardised form like those supah thicc iron culverts he's showed on here at least once.
@@joellenrhodes456 Nah, people that are that negligent, uncaring, or malicious deserve the death penalty, not a traffic ticket. They only serve to make the world a worse place with their selfishness.
@@encycl07pedia- I was quoting what he said in several videos, not stating my own opinion. However, I tend to agree with you about people being to stupid and unaware re not realizing that they aren't as brilliant as they think speeding thru puddles. Hydroplaning is real, an stupid people shouldn't breed.
Are you sure they're doing it on purpose? To me it looks like a lot of incomplete maneuvers to dodge the puddle. Most people are really scared to turn the steering wheel for some reason, and in driver ed, you're generally advised not to make any sudden moves while aquaplaning, which is often misunderstood.
He just kept what a lot of us did when we were kids. I loved making snow dams as a kid and then making a hole in it and watching the melt water drain away. Post10 has just taken it up a level and continues to do this as an adult and keeping people and property safe as a side to this nice hobby at that. I can feel the gratification he gets seeing the drain working and the water going away. Very nice channel to watch.
I'm beginning to think that Post 10 lives in a pre-apocalyptic version of Kevin Costner's Waterworld. Come to think of it, a great alternate ending to that movie would be Post 10 showing up and saying "I found the drain, it's just clogged with some pine needles". Then the movie would just be called "World".
Sorry but its already a tag line of a Legend. “Chuggin’ the world one bottle at a time “ Badlands chugs is back. Post 10 drains but Badlands drinks (chugs). Both are great.
@@senmetwo42 I liked your comment. I won't bring politics into this either. I won't say anything like the Libs are the ones driving by splashing him, or anything like that! Lol
I live in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and some years ago. A Mother and her two young Daughters drove into a flooded road. All three lost their lives, it was a sad situation. So I praise and respect this young Man's work
Ahhh! The sweet gurgle and slurp of a drain with whirlpool. Visual and audible ease and pause. It looks like about half way done the pipe was maxed out. You had it clean but it slowed. That cabin is Sweeet! LOve seeing April and how you include and attend to her.
Now I am imagining an anti-Post10 who goes around throwing leaves and twigs on drains to clog them up. Probably a crime, but not sure what it would be called.
Post10, I'm curious, what drives you to do this sort of stuff? I think it's really cool that you go out and unclog drains. Is it a hobby? And how did you come to be so knowledgeable about culverts?
Gotta be a "satisfying reward" to clearing up a road like that. I get the same satisfaction when I clean out my gutters!!!!! It's goes from "nasty swamp gutters" to "a clean mountain river" in the gutters. LOL
@@gallente4TW OSHA = Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration. (unless there is another one I don't know about) They set the safety standards and investigate workplace incidents that result in severe injury or death. It sounds like they have some training in flood water management? I have no first hand knowledge of that.
I do not understand why you don’t use your car to protect yourself. I am a NYS fire police officer and use my vehicle all the time to shield me, force cars to slow down and give me a escape path. I don’t know about Massachusetts laws RE warning lights (mine are red and blue) but yellow is legal nationwide and covered under the slow down move over laws as are 4 way flashers. I suggest parking before the work area (flood), crank the wheels to the right (allegedly your car will go to the ditch, the asshole that hit it will go left, leaving you in the void-allegedly). You are doing community service and should not put up the those dumb-assed jerks splashing and endangering you. One nitwit hydroplaning and you are done for. What those idiots are doing is illegal in this state and I would believe there also (splashing pedestrians). Besides that is what insurance is for, cars are repairable or replaceable. Kinda hard to replace a non-beating heart with a beating one.
You don't understand? Maybe he simply didn't think of it my friend. The advice is certainly appreciated, just perhaps more well received when presented differently
@@narbra9678 The guy is doing a great job but he going to get hurt. You have seen how drivers are. You obviously think it was rude, well if you have seen the victims of shitheads like those that pass him you would push him hard also. Have you ever seen or been in a hydroplaning car? or worse someone hit by one? Want to bet in my 30 years of a volunteer firefighter what I have seen and dealt with?
@@g.r.4853 I've hydroplaned a few times and its more alarming to me than hitting ice. Ice I slide on and its spooky and dangerous. When I hydroplane, I slide but the water also drags me off whatever direction it pleases. Ive seen cars that hydroplane straight into stone mountainsides. I live in SoCal and nobody out here knows what to do in water or snow and a lot of major accidents occur because of it.
@@gorisenke same here, live in socal as well, and luckily only hydroplaned once. Its a bit scary but I saw how my dad and mom pull out of those since they grew up back east and my dad taught me what to do if that happened.
Noah: "The world hath flooded at the hand of the Lord and I have built an arc to save you all!" Post 10 [walking by with rake]: Relax. We'll be outta here in 5 minutes. Check out that whirlpool!!
Can we talk about freakin cute this cabin is. I would love this have it just like this. I wouldn’t change a thing. Big enough for my husband, the kids and I. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Watching you on your adventures relaxes me so much. Love you and your awesome work. The beautiful outdoors you have makes an amazing workplace. Keep safe and make sure you get a check up at the doctors, you never know what's lurking in the waters that could make you sick.
There are three things a person can watch all day without getting bored; a burning fire, flowing water, and a man working. This guy checks two of those boxes.
April has a cute little house, my boy had one like that. He liked having a blanket over the top and sides as well. When it was real bed time like "mom and dad are leaving for the night" he liked it when we pulled the blanket down over the front like a little blanket fort, party of 1. We could hear him playing in there and the occasional yip as he barked at his toys. You're a good dad.
What a nice and cozy little home you have! Everything one needs! Only your fridge looks quite empty!😳 You must be hungry when you come home from your water world's! Is there no one to prepare you a good meal? Dude, treat yourself ROYALLY! YOU DESERVE IT!🍀❣️🌹 That Fun bone for your dog shows, you care for everyone else, except yourself! You HAVE to change that. We all NEED to see you happy!
Me gustan tus videos, admiro tu esfuerzo en el drenaje de aguas, disfruto las zonas boscosas y la lluvia; son muy relajantes. April is a beatiful dog 💯; verlo es sumamente placentero. Desde Costa Rica te saludo 🙋 Pura vida !
Hey Post 10!!, at 5:57 the drain plug that you have, if you flip it upside down into the drain you can use it as a screener!! That's what I do with mine works pretty good!!👍👍😬😬
The breaker marked Service Disconnect was labeled above as "Barn". That breaker feeds to the barn, not the power into that box. April is growing up into a very nice dog. She doesn't mind water and mud, makes her a good companion for your adventures.
I thank you for getting me involved in doing this kind of stuff. I live in Palmer MA and I have been unclogging the new culvert at the pond where the culvert collapsed
I sit transfixed watching the water disappear from flooded roads but I'm also aware of the other aspect of clearing an obstruction on a road and wonder how many potential accidents you've managed to avoid happening by clearing it. Love little April, I'm guessing her bath was after the visit to the saltwater culverts.
Maybe a piece of 4" or 6" pvc drain pipe about a foot long. Once a siphon is created on a grate, hold the pipe endwise against the grate to grab a steady supply of air with no debris to assist in draining. Air behind water, just like household plumbing. BTW that kitchen sink vent may need a look, seemed to be draining a bit slow.
Your puppy, April, is adorable. Be careful with nylabones though (or any chewable object that they can get pieces off of). They can cause obstructions. Another great video though!
Killer house you got there, and it comes with a barn/garage! Wish I could start my life over again and live a much more simpler life then now!! Keep doing what you're doing man, love the content!!!
Like your videos, you do a good job. Note - If you refer to a person or organization as 'stupid', they tend to ignore any further comments or suggestions you might have.
I agree with you Post 10, that 30A service disconnect should not power a 50A electric oven. That was most like done by the owner as it doesn’t comply with the NEC
I bet you drove your parents crazy pulling the stopper out of the tub while taking a bath haha. I don't know why this is so satisfying to watch. Thanks for making the roads safer!
Great job on the street! As for the breaker panel either the electrician mislabeled the breaker space on it or they only had a 50amp 2-pole breaker with a bridge clip available and put it in? Weird but it happens with lazy techs. Looks like your oven won't trip before your whole house does? Hahahahahaha! 🤣 Have your landlord's electrician tone them out to be sure and put the proper labels/breaker in. All those service disconnect stickers( actual disconnect is probably outside or somewhere else ) looks like they're probably used before and the previous electrician forgot to take them off. Lazy. Don't take it upon yourself to pull the panel off and do it yourself. Let the professionals( shock themselves ) handle it. Thank you. 😊
