That sucks. that bike was in good shape. Glad you guys were able to walk away from it. That hit from behind rule sucks. So glad the Mrs is out working on the bike, she is a rockstar!!!

I'm really sorry to hear about the accident but I'm really glad you both are okay despite some minor injuries. It definitely sounds like it could've been much worse and glad it wasn't! My wife got her own bike last summer and it's been a great experience for us. We don't live in an urban area so we are able to mostly avoid heavy traffic

Having been in a bad accident before , I gotta admit man , I was shook when I saw your IG posts … I was talking to my wife about it and showed her the pictures , and honestly I hadn’t rode for a few days . It was good to see you both working on the Shadow together ! When you come up To Michigan , or Wisconsin , or “Wherever “, go a little further west to Minnesota, and we’ll grab a beer brother !

glad you 2 are ok . its really cool that it didnt scare her off and she still wants to ride her bike. the start of the vid was really hilarious btw lol. in a way having a wreck/dropping the bike can be a good thing because you know what to expect ..sort of. its still never fun though lol. i have wiped out on my dirtbike when i was younger many times. thankfully they was minor ones. the Shadow is looking good. on the bright side now you can make a vid series of "how to fix a Goldwing after a fender bender" 👍👍. i know its not much of a bright side lol. you still have 2 other bikes to ride though so that is good. good vid and get well soon

Glad you’re still around to ride. Shorts life always though. It’s too damn hot in Florida. Unless you’re investing in high end Kevlar/denim pants…riding pants are a waste of money. They rip as quick as normal jeans…I found out the hard way. Fix r up and get that old turd back on the road. Hopefully I’ll run into ya one day ✌🏻

Glad you’re both ok. I suppose in some ways, the bulk of the goldwing saved you from anything worse. Do you think it’s worth repairing it though with that amount of damage? Plastics can be phenomenally expensive. I guess you’ve got a much better supply of used parts over there though. Take care.

I knew You crashed the Wing, but had no idea it was this bad til going back to this vid, man I'm sure glad You Guys were ok, still don't get how or why the law cited you when clearly it wasn't your fault. A guy hit me while in the median in Orlando, the law ruled it no fault, til my insurance company got envolved, it went into "mediation", I think, and it was determined to be the other guys fault and his insurance company did pay in the end. I also had a lady hit me from behind on my Nightrain while I was at a stop light, which she ran, I was gun shy for years after that, although it did give me the opportunity to cut my fender struts off the softail and add a "Lucky F@$&er Fender kit to it, along with a custom paint job, and ended up selling her for like 5k more than I paid after riding the bike for over 5 years, but I'd have given the 5g's not to have experienced getting dead nutted in the ass at 55mph, I think not seeing it coming was the worst part...lol Anyway, really glad you all are ok bro, even though I'm like 4 months late...😉

start button dirty. spray some wd 40 in it. its right beside the throttle cable which my have been over lubed with dry lubrication[ graphite] if that's the case then it may be why the start switch works intermittently

Shadows are notorious for having to clean the inside switch housing all my Hondas have had that problem

Regardless if you like riding gear or not you have a responsibility to your family first. I know it sucks. It's 114 today where live.

1st of all thank God everybody walked away.. 2nd of all get yourself a good attorney a Law tigers. 3rd if you get ahold of Milwaukee cycle salvage they have 3 of those bikes You can get your plastics and whatever you need. If you need someone to go check those parts out. I'll be more then willing to help.

If you use syn oil in this Shadow, you may have to go to stronger clutch springs......and also clutch pads are different .....when syn oil is used.Glad the accident wasn't bad. I've survived two head on collisions...first in 2002, wife of 30 yrs didn't survive and I was in traction nine months....drunk driver, illegal alien, no insurance or liscense......the last one got me 12 broken bones,brain bleed and no depth perception.....this driver disappeared and left me in the middle of the road...don't remember that helicopter ride. As much as it rains down there it'll need a rear fender or your back will stay nasty and wet.

Well as far as the helmet iv been told that it falling off the bikes seat will deflate whatever its call substance inside ,and i myself hate to be to hot whilst on the bike so i try to dress in light cloths jeans ,tea shirt and i very light non lined leather jacket as id rather have a few sweet beads then of lose of my epadrumiss,🙄lol

And that is why I don’t drink and drive
