The absolutely perfect comedic timing of Arceus doing absolutely nothing followed up by Fletchling just slowly pushing Hero off is one of the greatest things I've ever seen
I made a stage the replicates the glitch, and byleth by using down b on the right spot can glitch herself in. The ID for my stage is 1MHRGW46. the difference is that the player starts spawned in, some final smashes will move you into it, and theres a lot of cool glitches and jank to explore in it. Im also working on ones for every character to be able to glitch themselves into the floor.
That match with the softlock was really a whole story. It had character development, conflict, plot twists, a clear protagonist, a clear antagonist. It really was a journey
Was joker or hero the protagonist because if hero is the protagonist it’s shows hero’s determination and inner conflict on whether they should just give up. If joker is the protagonist it shows his will to keep fighting no matter what happens, even if God himself won’t do anything he and his bird will always prevail.
@@relaxation_and_tax_evasion mine is the opposite hero worked so hard for so long to get the stock lead, and by clutching it through with plot armour, he was going to win. But joker wouldn’t allow that. He wanted hero GONE. He kept trying to discard him, fully aware if he wasn’t successful he would lose. Through a final stroke of luck, joker kills hero, and finally they battle to the death. so ye

@@LakeDrinker chill out? I typed in 3 seconds and forgot about it. It’s not like I said “YOUR A SELF PRODKMTINF SCAMMTER REPORTED VLOCKED YOU WIF GOT TO,HELL!!!!!!”
I’ve been thinking about this and I’ve found an answer as to how they got glitched into the floor: When Joker uses his final smash, his ecb (environmental collision box) goes slightly below the ground for a short period. This is how he’s able to hit below ledge with final smash. Since this is a custom stage, his ecb didn’t move back above the ground and instead went below it. Because the opponent getting hit’s ecb is put right next to Joker’s, hero’s ecb also went below. Because both of their Ecb’s were below the ground, whenever they got hit, their ecb’s would hit the ceiling and they would have their vertical knockback canceled. That concludes my TedTalk Edit: There’s a similar glitch in melee to glitch Mario, Luigi, and Dr. Mario’s ecbs below the ground. It’s called the invisible box

16:58 You se the joke is in kid icarus uprising there is a chapter where pit is falling to his death and while falling he says “I never learned how to read”

The results screen isn’t always the winning player. We all know in our heart of hearts DatDerpDog won. Our very own King DDD killed the kirby and put up a truly valiant fight. On Kirby’s very own gimmick stage, you could see their fear. For their win was not guaranteed against the king. Anyone, who can kill you at zero percent. Is someone to be feared. And unlike Kirby… DatDerpDog needs no trashy stage to do so.
@@jordanhoadley7243 nah man, he’s saying fletchling’s god, that’s the joke. As far as I can tell he thinks “god is literally in the room” is some kind of figure of speech that he just happens to say when fletchling shows up. If he realized Arceus was what jo was talking about he wouldn’t have said “there’s no coincidence” , that implies that there was a perceived coincidence beforehand, which there never was. Ted Tak
@@WhiteKnuckleRide512 he knows he was talking about Arceus, the joke is that fletchling is the real god here, not Arceus. i.e. god wasn't really in the room until fletchling showed up. You 100% earned that wooosh.
@@danielhounshell2526 If he thought that was the case he would have said so, there’s no reason to think that’s what he means besides the fact that it would be funnier than the joke he’s actually making. Dude I’m willing to die on this hill.
@@dicedevil that makes sense, as you are entitled to your opinion. I was however refrencing a joke image alpharad made on twitter that people would reply to gimmick accounts with because he was getting annoyed by them

I was hoping to look in the comments to find a time stamp for the softlock , but it turns out I’m like, the 6th person to click on the video apparently The glitch happens at 7:57 btw
The glitch was the final smash at that specific spot (because how the stage was built) put the players on the floor. It looks like right after final smash ended, the nameplates were lower. The soft lock is explained in the video.
@@Goneth From the start of this video you should've know this isn't a showcase. I know exactly the kind of thing you're talking about, but this isn't that. I would understand if it was something like Smash Review, though that doesn't bother me either.

props to that Joker, he was so determined to kill Hero, even when literal God didnt do anything, he carried on, and he did it, with the help of a small bird.
Hero mains, here’s a consistent setup: portals. Have a box with walls and a portal above it. Make it so you can jump into the box, but not walk. Have there be a portal chain with wind blowing down through all of it. Eventually, you stop. Then you reverse. When you hit the ground, you’ll be in the same state as in the video. This should work 100% of the time. Get gaming! Edit: A portal chain is where you have a portal leading to the bottom of the screen, or top in most circumstances, then a portal on the other side of the screen that teleports you so you’re now next to the portal you came out of last. This allows you to gain considerably more airtime than normal, which is required to slow Hero down enough with wind. Edit: dang, they patched it
Unlike Byleths star KO, they put in the line "I never learned how to read!" because there was a scene in kid icarus uprising where pit was falling in the sky and said that because he thought he would die. This was actually a line in uprising and he was essentially just being star KO'd at the time
My favorite part was how aggressive the Joker was throughout most of the match, even in defiance against the untouchable hero. Tho of course a tranquil bird will yield better results for destruction, but what do I know.
Honestly the craziest thing about that whole circumstance was how Fletching was the solution, like what?! Edit: We NEED that segment animated, it will be gold!

The glitch is definitely from Joker’s final smash, It must slightly lower the player a small amount if the game doesn’t sense any ground beneath them which wouldn’t be a problem on regular stages because if the glitch were to happen it would only be for a few seconds. The wall seemed to play a part in it so I might try later on shadow moses
the discussion about not caring and that will make you do better actually really enlightened me tbh, i needed to hear that cause i run cross country and honestly i need to realize that for races so thanks haha
"I never learned how to read!" is a quote from Kid Icarus Uprising! During the scene its used, Pit yells it as he's about to have a crash landing, thus why its used for his star ko
This is one of my favorite series on the internet. Seriously. From the really funny commentators, to the memorable players, to the great moments, this series is incredible. I’m so glad it wasn’t dumped when Alpharad Plus was rebranded.
that glitch happned because somehow, their colision triangle got stuck on the floor, melee has a smilar glitch in congo jungle with mario, luigi and doc. check mid tier oddities from asumsaus.
I think maybe it's because of the side b and AOA from Joker happening at the same time maybe sending Joker down from knockback just as he AOA'd which caused Hero to allign with him and they were both stuck in the ground
I remember watching a melee glitch showcase talking about Mario’s ecg, which determines a player’s restriction on movement, can have the no jump glitch on donkey Kong’s stage if falco were to down throw on a specific part of the stage because the ecg hits 3 walls and assumes that it is now inside the box. Thus why when they jump they don’t move is because the game assumes they are inside though their hit box is above. (Also a grab resets where your ecg is located but both players kept rolling)
Figured out how to soft lock when Joker Final Smashed hero it put both their name plates down and then you just have to use zoom I tested this myself on the stage all it was was that he hit him in the Final Smash against Green
So like 90% of the time, I throw a video on and I'm doing other shit while I listen. I like that second stimuli, I like listening to you guys. DerpDog had my full, undivided attention with the shit they're doing. I also think it's funny that a Kirby gimmick stage was what did them in.
8:56 Hero has entered the Absolutely Safe Capsule. Nothing can get in, he can't get out. Nothing can destroy the A.S.C. Hero will stay like that until the end of time.
