Tip for smaller clubs, if you can only hire scouts to non contracts, always offer a second role as a coach. 99/100 they will take this role. Helped me double my coaching team without any additional wage. And when the team grew I could offer them coaching courses which also improved them as a scout. This sometimes works for sport scientists with second role of fitness coach. (Only for small clubs)
I actually like the DoF. Mainly to have instant recommendations for specific positions and roles. In the Transfer screen you can ask him to recommend players for a specific role/position immediately. They are sometimes crap, but sometimes they are actually useful, and not ones that show up when I do my own Player Search. Especially if his knowledge extends to countries I do not have myself.
Great video about staff and their explanation. 2 small things / tips: - never let your ass-man arrange friendlies, do it yourself... for lower league clubs, playing against big teams in the preseason could increase your budget massively, like 4 or 5 times - general manager can give you a shortlist of players for a position, under the scouting tab... usually players that are pretty decent, saves a lot of scrolling through the entire list of players
Excellent video as usual, just a tidbit. I think if you click in "include" in the Staff search page and you click in "realistic appointments for x" it automatically filters the coaches that are too expensive or are not interested in signing with ur team :) That's how I do it and saves a lot of time if u don't want to wait for the advert, or the advert is greyed out because you have someone in post.
Haven’t commented on your videos before but oh wow I’m learning so so much from all your videos. The coaching aspect of this blew my mind how I’ve been oblivious to it all. Pretty new to FM (I had FM 12 but didn’t really understand it) and now I’m older and... I was gonna day wiser.... maybe not, it’s really coming together. Thank you so much for these videos. i tend not to even renegotiate the contracts - they run on a month to month, makes it far easier to sign someone better if one comes up without having to cancel contracts
Idk if you mention this later on but preferred formations also have an influence over your Youth Intake, your Head of Youth Development will be more likely to pick players that fit their preferred system
I got that coaching stats written down since 2011 or so and its still moreless same today. If allowed, you can hire couches that are decent in multiple categories(and have good DDM) as helpers to lower workload of specialist coaches. I think star rating used is highest rating from that category, so it doesnt hurt you having one or two coaches just to help with workload. You find lots of coach career starters with all 8's or 9's, with DDM over 30. Perfect candidates for the job as they dont ask for too much money and you can send them on courses so they can improve alot.
i remember a dev in the SI forums saying that jpa and jpp isnt necessary for the youth intakes, its only good if you do scouting with them, so the only thing that matters is the personality and the prefered playstyle

ngl, never knew how any of that coaching star thing worked. Just sorted clicked around until the stars looked reasonably high on each category... if one looked really low, hired a coach that did that specific... thing.
So I managed to get a handful of scouts to double as coaches as recommended for a small club. My question though is does that effect their scouting ability?
I only let the scouting team find players and set up assignments because I want that realism. I do have it set up that I have final say on transfers and I also request general searches. Hit or miss.
If you want some good staff members that are willing to go to meh clubs just load norwegian league. Tons of decent staff members who will go to anywhere. (My manager is norwegian so that might influence their willingness to go to romania but ehhhh)

I cant find the option in fm2021 to have world cup games results appearing like the league games when I press continue. somehow I made it work in 2020 but either they changed it or I simply forgot how to to that. any of you know the answer? I always liked following tge world cup :)
1:05 I'd rather become the goalkeeping coach than a manager at this point. My manager profile on my demo is 7'3"! Taller than the tallest player (6'11")! The only other things I want to do are press conferences and tactics board. I want to deal with buying and selling players the least. Since I can't do that, I do the press and interviews. I've delegated team talks with the original manager (who I rehired as Assistant Manager).
is it me or it seems like my technical director and director of football never hired any staff. this seems broken. i play with barca and my barca B team is missing a lot of staff and they still not have hired anyone. no problem with hiring player for my director of football but the staff he never does.
@@darkphoenix3881 well i am in april of 2022 and my barca B team is missing 1 assistant coach and 4 out of 5 coach. also missing one head physio and chief scout. and i check again if permission are set too my tech director and they are. the only staff he cant hired his the head coach its set for my GM.
Hey Zealand, i recently started a save with PSV Eindhoven. And I noticed that in the match engine the shortcut for the club is PSV Ei in the top left corner. Is there a possibility to change that in PSV so it is more realistic.
