Probably the best ‘how to’ video on YT regarding using this bad boy. Very straightforward walk through of all the functions and procedures, good work sir. Greeting from England.
You've got a serious talent for teaching. Just bought my first saw, a stihl 170. This video was fantastic. I just subscribed and I hope you keep at it.
Thanks - very helpful video. One obervation - other vids I have watched saw one should apply a little upwards pressure to the tip of the bar BEFORE tightening the chain and keep the upwards pressure as the two lock nuts are tightened. Regards - Simon Adelaide / Oz
Agree! I always hold up on the chain as a table in the bar nuts I’m sorry if it was not clear in this video. But thanks for the great feedback. Always trying to get better.
I’ve watched a lot of these and counted the strokes necessary initially. That number is usually around 7 pulls. Just saying in case yours doesn’t burb at 1 to 2 pulls. Thanks for posting, quality camera work, well done and thorough.
almost cut myself because i didn't watch this video earlier. i read the manual and all but didn't know i had to engage the break... a lot of fear starting with the "down on the ground with a feet on the handle" method.
Hi Carl - I assume that one can purchase online from your store. If so, how do you have equipment serviced ehen you have an issue when located out of State (Chicago)? Preferably, I'm interested in the purchase of the Honda mower HRX217HYA model. Since this mower is a little pricey, do you have special price discount promotions, run coupons or bundle purchase of two or more pieces from time-to-time? Thanks!
Thanks for reaching out. We are a small independent dealership and are huge proponents of buying local. We always recommend that you can find. A servicing dealer in your area that can provide your with the service and expertise you deserve.
for love of christ dont show people how incorrectly start chainsaw by holding it between they two legs it ok drop start chainsaw long as it not esay start chainsaw for starters and always place the chainsaw on the ground start it
ALWAYS…..”drop start” your ms170 (‘cause it makes you feel like a MAN, baby!) AND….ALWAYS upgrade to an.050 bar and chain, put on some good dogs and change to a side bar adjuster. None of this other stuff makes you feel like a man as much as it just makes life a bit easier.
