I'm 46. I will be a missionary in Africa and Brazil. I was called. I can be flexible. Usually am. Preparation is what has to happen: Faith, hope and love must be inculcated. There's no substitute for experience.

For someone 20, who really loves God and people, in my experience, time with God is the first place to go. You have nothing if you've not developed your relationship with God. There are resources at church. Wycliffe Bible Translators. Before you go, years of maturity: The first place to go is to God. There are people who support missionaries. Pray about it. I met one at church. I plan to go to Mozambique and Brazil. Best to you!!
+Molly Hill Hi Molly, Any good college that provides University level training for mission work has a cost unless you can find enough scholarships to manage the expense. An alternative to these are the private preaching and teaching type schools where the courses are less expensive or free but you have to provide your own support. Here is a link to one such institution: www.sibi.cc All the best in your effort to serve.
