What If you want to rematch while your contract is still ongoing with your current family, would it be possible ? How difficult it would be ? And what about the visa expiration??

yes, it’s possible. you should look for a new host family and give your current host family a notice letter. then you need to contact the ausländerbehörder in your new area, they’ll tell you what to do

I'm sorry for the questions love I'm just curious you mentioned that the host family also takes out some money for a language course so I can just learn German in Germany?

i don’t think i understand your question 🙈 you have to start learning German before you get here, at least A1. when you get here, you can continue learning and the host family is required to pay for it

it took me about 6 months (self-study) to finish the A1 level

So you don't need to book the national visa where aupair is included or does the schengen visa work too

you're getting a national schengen visa. normally, you're given a regular 3 month visa, once you get to Germany, you need to go to the ausländerbehörde to get it extended

Hi Nsuku, I found a host family. I have a few questions to ask. 1. Did you submit a medical certificate? 2. The checklist you talked about, where can one get that so my host family can fill out and sign? 3. In the requirements for my country (Nigeria), drivers license and medical certificate and CV aren’t required but would you advise me to get those anyway? 4. The final requirement is courier envelope thingy, how do I get that? Please kindly answer. Also can I see a copy of your motivational letter 🙏🏾 Thank you 🙏🏾

If it's not required, you don't need it. 4. I have no idea what that is, sorry. Hello, can I ask something? While I am meeting with the family via Skype, can I take my German uncle to the meeting since I cannot translate well? He will be attending from Germany. This will not cause any problems for the family, right?

i think it's best to ask your potential host family how they feel about it. usually they speak English so you don't need a translator

@@zeynprivv8626 you can change it, as long as you fulfil the visa requirements. i would advice that you start the process as soon as possible because the ausländerbehörde will probably take time

Follow up question about the Ausbildung thing. When transitioning from an Au pair visa to the Ausbildung did you have to go back to South Africa? Or could you just change it in Germany?

It depends on the country you want to go to. if you are a non-EU citizen and want to au pair in Germany, 26 is the max. I suggest checking the age limits on Aupairworld www.aupairworld.com/en/au-pair-programs
