So glad that the impact of Subaru deciding to commit suicide wasn’t lost on you, so many people gameify the show in their minds because of the save point aspect. Even though his determination to try going back to save people is commendable, it’s so morbid and trauma-inducing and affects his view of himself, not like a simple positive moment where a character changes their mindset for the better.
exactly, people dont realize subaru was truly suicidal. he saw no way out, to the point that real death seemed reasonable to him. he actually wanted to die, but couldn’t ultimately do it. unfortunately, a detail that was cut out was subaru self harming. he was stabbing himself with a pen to stay awake so he wouldn’t he killed in his sleep. rem killing him actually messed him up real bad. he wasn’t eating either. its unfortunate those details were cut
Man, I'm so happy you really are able to understand his plight and fears. It's absolutely insane to be able to sacrifice himself not actually knowing if there is a limit and considering the pain too.
It's also not clear that when he resets that he resets the timeline for everyone. He may be creating a new one with a different branch. But I'm going to say it again. Take care of yourself. This is a tough series.
