I’ve been struggling with alcohol addiction my whole life. I’ve been 6 months sober but went back to it. Went weeks without it but went back. Lost an amazing friend and love of my life due to alcohol. I want her back as much as want sobriety. If she never comes back. I will forever thank her for helping me get and stay sober so if the day does come that she chooses to comeback. I want her to have the sober me. Prayers everyone.

Whoever is reading this, I wanted to say I hope you have a great day and that God loves you so much that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on a cross for your sins and He rose again from the dead three days later. God Bless! And also, He doesn't want you to go to Hell, but He wants you to go to Heaven with Him but you have to be Saved. How do I get Saved you might ask? Here are the steps below on how to get Saved! 1. Believe that God sent His Son (Jesus) to die on a cross for your sins and that He rose again from the dead 3 days later. 2. Confess to Jesus that you are a sinner and ask forgiveness for your sins and Turn away from your sins. If you sin again after asking forgiveness of that sin, ask forgiveness again and try not to do it ever again. Jesus will forgive you! 3. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and your life and for Him to be your Lord and Savior forever. 4. Build a Personal Relationship with Jesus by Praying and Reading the Bible daily and Live for Him Forever. I'm Praying for you and you are loved! (Romans 10:9-13)))

This song hits different, I had 4 years clean Covid came and took my down the rabbit hole again, now I’m 7 days and this song is so powerful. Remember it gets easier as each day goes on. We don’t have to fight anymore just Surrender

I see you guys comments who all are in the process from alcoholism. I myself am not one of them, but God bless each and every one of you. My uncle was unfortunately an alcoholic and unfortunately this is partially what contributed to the abuse he put me through as a child.

This friken song is the god damned story of me and my ex... I swear. I got sober before she did. Amd every single day it was a struggle to keep it together, but NEVER stopped loving her. Wondering if I should "let her go"... I ended up letting her go. But as I did I prayed that she would get sober and we would get back together... shes sober. Im sober.. not back together. Its so God damned hard

I was sober what would have been 6 years December 31.. A year and a half is the longest I’ve stayed clean from hard drugs…I just can’t seem to do it anymore. I lost my mom to cancer 4 and half months ago, I didn’t find anybody to talk to about the depression I got from that lose. I binge drank for 2 months after that. I got back into the hard drugs, I have strong feelings of suicide and I’ve come so close several times the past 10 days alone, but everytime I get that blade to my throat I just break down…Then I play this song. “Im getting sober. I’m trying but I can’t get closer.” I really love that part.

On and off for the last 10 years or so, my older brother has been struggling with staying sober.. Recently he relapsed again. And i just hope that this time he stays sober.. My son loves his uncle and hates it when he disappears.. I just want my brother back, hes not the same person who took care of me when i was younger. We're about 10 years apart. And its just hard not knowing when the next time. I wish i could help him more.. I love you brother. Always have and always will.
