Congratulations Victor. You are an inspiration. I was a young child during the Apollo Missions in the late 60’s and early 70’s, and I remember those flights on TV. This is exciting. I’ll be watching. 😊
@@chhewee Not this exact mission, with this equipment. Regardless, it’s been 50 years… it seems pretty reasonable to take your time and do a live test run before committing to landing on the surface again.
@@beingandtime 😌yeah it's not like they just stopped working on hardware and software for what they've been planning to do for the last 60 years. 👍 and just bought all new equipment a year ago. 😅
@@chhewee yeah, it’s also not like most of the engineers, physicists, comms specialists and senior NASA leadership personnel who worked on the original Apollo missions are now either very old, retired or dead 🫢 why on Earth would the new generation of NASA employees and contractors take precautionary measures to ensure they’ve accounted for every variable and have real-world experience carrying out a high-stakes mission which the entire world will be watching closely and which could result in the death of 4 astronauts if someone makes a mistake under the pressure? It really just doesn’t make any sense at all… 🤔 I guess the only logical explanation is that we’ve never actually been to the moon and we have no idea what we’re doing! 🤦♂️
Well, he is the first and the last time we went to the moon, we were only 8 years removed from the Civil Rights Act and the "end" of Jim Crow laws in the South...
Such an imbecilic thing to say, joking or otherwise. Following your logic, we'll also be lucky if one of the white guys doesn't have a psychotic break and decide to murder his crewmates with a high-capacity magazine, military-style assault weapon.
