This reminds me of El Nino in 83'. Weather conditions are close to those days. Any transplants to SoCal. This was typical, as I remember in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. Probably with more thunder and lighting than what's happening today.
The grapevine was often closed in those days, due to snow and icy conditions. I lived in Lancaster then, and we had snow a few times in the desert. The Devils Punchbowl, where I love to hike, always had snow. Not anymore though. I'm glad for it this year.
Here's where the heaviest rain and snow will hit! Everybody needs to just stand back for a second and think about that this is Southern California we are talking about. This is not the Rockies or the Pacific Northwest, or the Midwest, or the East Coast or New England, or the southeast for that matter places that can get winter weather to varying degrees It's Southern California, Los Angeles county Just sit there and think about that for a few minutes
OK . . . and? It's great weather for us. Unlike what the news is reporting, there's only one place in LA that's flooding, and that's Studio City. Must have been a drainage pipe that got blocked.
4:59 What the heck is it with Riverside? We rarely get rain, and when we do, it's absolutely pouring, and snowing everywhere else, but we are lucky to get a drizzle! Look at the map, it's like the rain just flows around us, weird! 😁👍😎✌
Why does California keep calling the type of weather we are having a "storm?" Don't they travel anywhere else in the world to see what a real storm looks like?
