There's many songs out there that encompass and describe depression, this is by far, imo, the best one. I relate to every lyric and your voice, even in describing the sadness and stuck darkness of the debilitating mental low, is so beautiful and true that I can listen to it when I'm depressed and feel happy, or happy and feel even happier that I'm never alone.

Don’t get me wrong. The influences are clear but she is an amazing artist herself and I love that she does her OWN thing. my sister died in 2016 due to liver cancer and that day was really sunny, a complete contrast to what everyone felt when she passed away. i saw this album 4 years ago but never really cared about it. 2024 and this appeared in my recommendations. i wish i gave it a try when it came out. the entire record screams 90s rock, which is my late sister’s fave genre of music. we could’ve listened to soccer mommy together, and she would’ve loved sophie

I literally want to live in this song or Sophie's voice??. That lyric : "Hey I've been falling apart these days Split open watching my heart go round and around Round and around Circle the drain I'm going down" Just blew my mind.. brilliant metaphor.God i love this song, its been on repeat for this quarantine

This song is a throw back, but also super 2k20.. they're at an abandoned water park after all. A lot of us may be from the 90's, but I'm sure everyone's life has changed dramatically changed since then. This song brings you back, just to highlight how much you miss those old times and how things may have decayed since then.
