This is why people quit jobs . And demand more pay before they even apply or interview. Fairness morality and ethics. The labor force has been working harder with less coworkers to do the same amount of work. Productivity has skyrocketed. Profits have soared to record levels. Yet the worker could see a pay reduction during this time with more work and more responsibility. People now adays stay at a job for 1 year or two because in that time you are not receiving the standard 30 60 90 day reviews and raises and were not seeing the yearly cost of living wage increases we once had as standard. So in a year or two the buisness down the road is hindering and starting people at a better rate than your job is offering a skilled established worker. They think we are dumb and don't know see or care ? They are sorely mistaken.

I feel this video is misleading. By citing explicit laws or legal documents as "part of the social contract", it appears to imply that documents and laws ARE the social contract. I feel that this is untrue. The social contract is a philosophical framework that states that anyone living in a society implicitly agree to abide by that society's laws, whatever they are. It isn't the document or laws themselves. I feel like this is an important distinction.
