my brother played their music by my hospital bed when I was in a coma. He says he thought it might help me find my way back since the prayers didnt seem to help.
@@antonio-1004 Im doing great. Thanks for asking. Ive been able to walk and take care of myself for a few years. Even went back to work for a couple years til covid came along. Its all a journey. Seems like the harder the struggle the easier it gets to meet the next one.
Take me down that line Gonna tow that heavy load I can't seem to make it Make it on my own Turn the lights down low now Turn down our bed I can't seem to get you Out of my head Stranded here in Bakersfield You're so close, yet so far, far away Stranded here in Bakersfield You're a million miles away I feel the heat coming down now Sweat runs down my face I can hardly fake it, girl Fake it through this day Was it something that I said Or something I didn't do? 18 more hours, girl 'Til I'm home to you Stranded here in Bakersfield You're so close, yet so far, far away Stranded here in Bakersfield You're a million miles away So I walked out that lonely truck stop With my head hanging down Wondering how in the hell I got myself into this mess And more importantly, how I was going to get myself out of it So I wrote a song for you, baby girl And I hope when I return home The locks ain't changed on the doors And there's still a spot for me On that big ol' California king-size bed Stranded here in Bakersfield You're so close yet so far, far away Stranded here in Bakersfield You're a million miles away Won't you come see me in Bakersfield? Ooh-hoo, I'm not a million miles away Yeah-yeah
U know, I'm writing my book while listen to this... a Teenagergirl and a Teenagerboy, who were best friends, years ago, but lost each other, because the boy moved to another town. After years, they meet each other again and this song was playing, while they were talking about the "good old times" (well, they're only fourteen, but why not). I've only wrote 12 pages yet, but with the help of Social Distortion and other Rockbands (like Backyard Babies, Blackberry Smoke, AC, DC, Pink Floyd aso) I'll finish this story about friendship, youth and the question of life. Thank u !
you like to write stories? Write one about a young father in his thirties trying to raise children amongst the jackals of the barrio and maintain masculinity.... Something im tossing around about my dad... lots of case sensitive material but it would be nice to hear a fresh perspective on that general senario.
I love the guitar it's so soothing.. So I walked that lonely truck stop with my hat HANGING low wondering how I got myself into this mess but more importantly how I was gonna get out...
Nothing like being on the road thinking of someone... A few thousand miles away... Seriously.. Unless you've been on the road headed home to that"spot"...$
I can hardly fake it girl, fake it through this day. Was it something that I said? Or something I didn't do? 18 more hours, girl; til I'm home to you. Stranded here in Bloomingdale
