Caught a heap from 50-84cm in ACT, using 3/0 suicide and 2/0 ball sinker running free, mono line about 10 pound. 17 last season, 6 so far this season. Cheese bait. All released.Missed a few beauties.

A round sinker? To roll around into snags.

I find when bait fishing it is better to use mono instead for braid

I run 15 pound fins braid and 20 pound fluorocarbon works perfectly you don't need to skull drag the fish

Darcy Foster depends on where you are, ie around structure that entails logs trees submerged if you have a big fish and can’t stop it your screwed pure and simple, ask me how I know .
