I'm interested to know what the social graces model would make of a homeless heterosexual white man having problems with substance abuse compared to a male university professor who is black, gay and has two properties, one of them a second home. How would that work? Who has the most 'privilege'?
Another aspect I would consider is social grace blindspots - not only social graces that grab us, but ones which could be important but which are more obscured from sight.
Hi Tania, thanks for your comment and for watching :) I actually took the post down a little while after writing it as I didn’t feel I was quite getting my point across. I hope to write something again soon!
This video was so insightful and put in such an easy to understand format - Thankyou! Love your examples and feel I can personally relate to some of those reflections too! As I’ve said before really love your videos, keep making them!
