I wish they would calculate the COLA with CPI-E and not with CPI-W.Because is anywhere 's from .1 to a 3% It because health cost are formulated with the CPI-E Yet,most of the seniors veterans and disabled have more health issues.

I live in RI live by a Walmart theres few people begging over there they make 3 to 4 hundred a day standing there begging and my wife works 3rd shift at a speedway gas station across the street and they come into the store and tell her how much they made thru out the day it's so crazy my wife said if she didn't have any pride in herself she would be out there to begging everyone is saying same thing

$38 dollars is better than nothing but, at the same time it’s a insult to the low and fixed income! They actually used to have a poor house, my step-dad in fact, his house, was built where he said, once was the old poor house! If our federal government doesn’t do something soon, they’ll again have to bring the Poor Houses Back! Again, it will put a little extra help to pay our bills, but, it sure won’t put no extra in our pocketbook by the time they raise our bills and rent and, take a little more away from our SNAP Benefits! We are the little people to them and, we will never win for losing! But, as long as we can keep a roof over our head, bills paid and, full tummy we won’t have nothing to complain about! But, they should be doing something sooner than, later! 0:26

38 dollars ain't sht. Does not even touch inflation. That be enough to buy 1 gallon of milk, half pound of burger and maybe if lucky cheese n bread. We actually need a much bigger raise to combat the inflation. I'm 33 years young single. I get 2200 from ssdi. Still not even enough to fight the inflation.

Okay I got a raise up to almost two hundred and I was getting two hundred and fifty dollars from Humana and they lowered my benefits to one hundred dollars and I had to start paying copays and my rent went up over one hundred dollars so they give you thirty dollars is costing me over the money that the raise came really how is that helping it's only making it to where I have to buy groceries and essentials out of the extra money and it doesn't add up in fact it is over what the raise is I wish the people in government had to live off of what I get for one month and they would have a change of heart I appreciate the extra money but it's not doing any good if they are taking the other benefits,, thanks for your time

I'm on SSI. In December, I'll get a letter from Food Stamps saying my SNAP will be lowered by the amount of the raise. Then, my rent will go up the amount of the raise. I lose money with their darn raises. And before anybody criticizes, try living on $1000 a month.

You know that free government health insurance go by your ZIP code and the state that you live in. I called for the free government health insurance i give my zip code and the state i live in told them that I make under $21,000 a month. If you live in the state of Arizona and on SSI benefits and don't make $51,000 a month you can't get the free government health insurance at all and if you are under the age of 65 you still can't get the free government health insurance and the flex card.

That's because it's for the COLA starting with JANUARY 2025's CHECKS. And the 2.7% is the inflation data for JULY. August's inflation date comes out in mid SEPTEMBER, September's inflations data comes out in mid OCTOBER which is ALSO the SAME time THEY announce how much of a COLA we will see starting with our JANUARY 25 Checks...It's the EXACT SAME process they have used for YEARS to determine COLA's.
