Social situations: autistic children and teenagers 

In this short video, parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) talk about social situations. Parties, weddings, religious events or family gatherings can sometimes create anxiety for children with ASD. Parents say that it helps to plan for these events and explain things carefully to their children. They also talk about how they respond to people’s reactions or judgments when they’re out in public.
