Some tips on how to continue having social interactions if you are on immunosuppressive treatment for interstitial lung diseases. Some people who suffer with inflammatory forms of ILD, such as hypersensitivity pneumonitis or connective tissue disease associated ILDs (CTD-ILD) may sometimes need to be on medications such as mycophenolate, azathioprine, rituximab or others. In these cases, there can be a higher risk of infections while on these therapies.
Many patients then feel quite isolated if they are worried about meeting others for fear of infections.
I provide some tips on how to deal with this important issue in this video.
