The engines argue about which of them will be chosen by the Fat Controller to pull the express. A special thanks to Trampy for allowing me to adapt their original video: • Trampy Quickie 1: Pilot
The only major accident I can think of that Edward was involved in was one Big Mickey hit him with s giant boiler. But that wasn’t Edward’s fault, so I wouldn’t count that.
Henry: “You! You can't climb hills!” James: “Hey! It wasn’t my fault I couldn’t grip the rails! The line was covered in leaves!” Toby (off-screen): “Perhaps you will need a leave blower to get rid of leaves on the line!”
It's going to take a lot more then just one donkey to pull a train such as the express. Perhaps Sir Topham should use dinosaurs, they're bigger and stronger.
0:38 Well, the LB&SCR L class might want to disagree with that Gordon. P.S. It’s one of very few class of tank locomotive designed for express service.
Aside from getting hit by Big Mickey with the ship’s boiler, other accidents Edward has had was when he also crashed James into the billboard and got damaged, caused his pipes to fall out of his trucks onto the line (from that one episode we all hate), crashed into the barrier and gravel on the closed line while taking the mail, while not getting damaged (somehow) got hit by those logs being thrown around on that one place we don’t speak of, and also got hit accidentally by Percy in the BWBA era where his trucks got derailed (all minus the Season 7 one from insignificant and forgettable eras).
Why a donkey?? That's impossible!! And NO ONE here goes five minutes without having an accident! That's NEVER happened that way here EVER before! Besides, you'd just be regressing back to the Stone Age of trains if you do this! We can't have that on this Railway or this day and age! It would NEVER work, and the passengers will outrage over it.
*The Iconic Accidents of The Grand 5:* Thomas - Smashed Into a Stationmaster's House, Edward - Pushed Into a Pile of Coal by a Ship Boiler, Henry - Crashed Into a Goods Train, Killing a Guard In The Brake Van, Gordon - Crashed Through a Station Wall, and James - Landed In a Field by Trucks. Lol
0:38. Not to be _that_ guy, but there were a handful express tank engines back in the day, including the DRG Class 61, which was apparently capable of 175km/h.
The only accident I can really think of which involved Edward was when he was knocked off the track by a ship boiler which was being hoisted by Big Mickey
“Express tank engines don’t exist” _Ignoring that the London, Brighton, & South Coast_ (Thomas’s own home railroad) _used express tank locomotives before electrification:_
And then all the passengers saw that a Donkey was pulling their Train, turned on their heels, and demanded their money back. Seriously. What was Topham thinking? A Donkey can’t pull one Express Coach, let alone the five or six Gordon usually pulls.
@@arenjtumastens "Express Coaches" aren't strictly for the Express. Other engines have pulled them for other trains. Edward pulled two green ones in "Bertie's Chase".
None of the mentioned accidents here were any of the engines' faults. For one, no one knows what caused Thomas to leave without his train. And he couldn't have known that he wasn't pulling it. Perhaps they forgot to couple Thomas to the train. Perhaps Thomas was too impatient to wait till they were ready. Or perhaps the driver pulled the lever by mistake. Anyhow Thomas started. Also, for James, it was those wooden brakes they gave him. His driver and fireman always said they were no good. For Gordon, as he approached the new station, neither the driver or fireman could apply his brakes; something had jammed. The driver reduced steam, but Gordon was still going too fast. And Thomas's controls were meddled with by the cleaner, causing him to run off on his own without being able to 'wheesh' or stop. And for another, Henry and his crew, while pulling the Flying Kipper, couldn't know the points from the Main Line to a siding were frozen. And the home signal should have been set at 'Danger', but snow had forced it down.
Edward really has an exploit from the pistons and side rods. That's the last time he had an accident Dang from the next video is where peter finally gets attention Thomas: SHUT UP YOU BLUE GALLOPING SAUSAGE Gordon: ... Thomas: im older than gordon... Donkey
Of COURSE there are Express Tank Engines, Gordon!! I've only just learned about them, but they ARE a thing, you should know! Besides, Thomas HAS pulled this Express before. Sometimes with help, like that time of the Triple Header. And DO NOT make such STUPID remarks about how small Thomas is!!!! That's rude and uncalled for!!! You almost made a TATMR reference with the 'teeny-weeny' part. He is NOT that little, and you know it! At least he and Percy are both bigger than the Narrow Gauge Engines!
What all you Engines needs is some insurance in case you guys get into an accident, that way in case something happens to you, your insurance will cover your damages, uh which insurance company do you guys take? there's Aflac, Geico, Liberty Insurance, Farmers and there's also AAA in case you break down in the middle of nowhere.
