Sodor the Modern Years: The Missing Engine 

I didn't notice this, but Thomas had a very puzzled look when talking to Henry, verses the worried look when talking to everyone else. Very subtle foreshadowing there, Dan. Excellent work.

This is a deep mystery story. Thomas trying to track down Lily reminds me alot of trying to locate my old friends and family.

This episode is great! There's lots of history and depth to this episode. I can't wait for episode 5 of Sodor: The Modern Years!

This is my favourite arc of the series. Wild nor wester. Your work was and still is amazing Edit: this was the first episode i saw back in 2014 I have been keeping up with the series ever since.

7 years later and I finally notice that in the flashback scenes with Thomas and Lily, Thomas has his pre-Breakfast curved buffer beam. And in Gordon’s, he has round buffers.

Quite a well thought out story and I certainly do look forward to finding out what happened. Admittingly I was thinking wait where on earth would engine crew miraciously have £175? (As we all know a lotta money in them days) However you soon found a convincing means to justify that :)

This is a pretty good episode you've made. I like how it told about what happened to Lily and how she wasn't scrapped when the other W&S and S&M engines were. I have to admit, after seeing the part when Brian told Thomas about how she was put onto the Errant Venture, I thought that she had died when the ship went missing and I was starting to feel disappointed, but when I saw the scene near the end when the Emily Hatt recieved that email, I have a feeling that this isn't the end of the story of Lily, and there might be a slight chance that she may have survived. Am I right?

Okay I'll propose my theory: The email is from either a child or grandchild of one of the Errant Venture's sailors who has information about what happened to the ship, I'm gonna guess it is marooned on a rock or embankment somewhere all wrecked and no one has been able to recover it and over time was forgotten... And obviously that would mean Lily is stuck there... Still just a theory.

I know this isn't contined till a few episodes l8r but I can't wait for tomorrows episode. They make every Friday even better! :D Keep up the great work WNW. :)

My theory that Emily was not mentioned here, my guess that she may had been forgotten or even left like atlas was. Oh if you are wondering why, wildnorwester said that Emily was going to appear at Sodor the modern years. Edit: or maybe she turned into a pumping engine inside a building.

Like how they thought titanics stern would float with the compartments,but a few seconds after the ship split and settled,the stern was filled with air,so it imploded under the cold Atlantic and is horribly destroyed,the bow still keeps the shape but is missing funnels,and the back is badly bent and partially barried

Yeah she's probably in the sea...and but because engines are transported on the top decks.p.s I have studied ships like the titanic and stuff.she probably would have rusted and caroded.really is a mystery,she couldn't have survived a sinking ship,maybe the ship split and half,and one parts waterproof compartment was closed so it stayed afloat or something,and the crew escaped in the lifeboat/s.maybe she was shipwrecked and is probably lying on the sand or in shallow water.such a mystery,only a few weeks until we know

The other two W&S engines Colin and Adam, I saw them in Curse of a Tunnel by terrier55stepney with Lily and I've seen them as background cameo's in a couple of your episodes. Will they have proper appearances in any future episodes of Sodor the Modern Years and were there any episodes were they where going to appear in but got swopped out for someone else?

Can engines drown? Since they technically have no lungs to breath from, and there for no lungs to fill with water, would they face suffixation?
